Anyone else deal with severe dizziness?
I am having the same problem with the dizziness too. It must be something going around.
I know that some of mine is the BP goes down so low. Now they started me back on one my heart meds which is a BP pill. I am only taking half but I can tell when I take it. It is scarey and it is dangerous too. I have almost fallen in the bathtub I couldn't tell you how many time while showering.
Make sure you follow up on it at the ER tonight. Your doctor will get a copy of everything and then maybe he will know that you are not nuts. I sometimes think that we must sit around trying to figure out something to make us sick or something. lol
Best of luck to you and let us know what you find out.

Boy .... this sure isn't my imagination!!!!!!!! You should see my banged up face and body. I am really bad today (dizzy & woozie). I don't think it is viral or a flu. I will know later. I HOPE!!!!!!!!!! Got to get myself pulled together enough to get cleaned up to go. Scared to death to get in the shower (afraid I will fall). Just taking it easy and slow. Then I can sit around for hours waiting to be seen. I told the PCP and surgeon and nutrionist about this issue and they just sort of blew it off as "common" with WLS. I had a full cardio work up in February. The only thing left unchecked and unprobed was my big toe!!!!
I too started with dizzy spells several months ago, just about the time I got complacent about taking my vitamins and keeping up with fluid intake. Someone suggested dehydration, and I've found that to be the problem most of the time. Usually if I can grab some water and make it to a chair, I'm fine after several minutes.

I just took my daughter to the Emergency Room for this a couple of weeks ago. She had been dieting (starvation diet) for the last several weeks. The results of her blood work showed low potassium levels, which the doctor said was common in dieting teens. The effects of a low potassium level are extreme dizziness, low blood pressure, etc.
I have occassional boughts of vertigo. Docs have never been able to figure out why. I keep mecklazine with me for when I fell it "coming on". Both my parents have this problem as well as an aunt and an uncle (opposite sides of the family). When our daughter began having the problem we thought it was the same thing. But her doc did discover a cause - hers was her birth control patch. MAKE the doc run more tests! If it comes on suddenly, DO NOT drive until you get it figured out. If it is a gradual thing, and the doc can find no cause, ask him about mecklazine.
