frustrated - venting

Thank you for being kind. When my siblings and I were acting up, which was often, Mom used to say to Dad, "I should have STAYED UP that night instead of going to bed". Yup, I have that thought on occasion too.

Nothing to add to the other comments except I understand the feeling that all the pain is all in your head ... I felt that way Tuesday at the ortho doc's office. Didn't help my self-image either. I sure feel like a crazy woman every time I'm there. But you and I know that the pain we have is real; you have to act in your own best self-interest, and that is to have the surgery.

I know you're scared ... surgery is scary. I'm sure they're scared too. Why not talk about it with them?

You sure do know how I'm feeling.We have better knowledge of what is happening to our bodies than anybody else - even doctors sometimes.

Don't give up on your knee pain. Something is obviously wrong with your knee, including your doctor.

Keeping things bottled up inside is probably my biggest fault. I used to stuff feelings down with food. Now I just stew, fret, and blow things out of proportion. Shame on me, it is past time to change and open my big mouth.

I hope you know that you are important. You deserve to take care of yourself. They will come around when they know you are right and they are wrong. They just don't seem to understand all the things that comes with wls. Heck I don't either really but I have read enough about it to know it isn't always smooth sailing. You just do what is right for you. God bless.

This is a prime example of why I love my two WLS support groups and the OFF family. The people know that WLS does wonderful but often odd things to us with no rhyme or reason.

Reading about WLS and LIVING WLS can be worlds apart.

Annette, just catching up on posts I missed while having FUN doing other things - yea right!  I think several of us are on the same wave length.  Your daughters are scared silly.  I get that reaction from all three of my kids, even the nurse - the eyes rolling, the smirk that you want to smack off their faces...  You've been through hell, and they've witnessed it, of course they're afraid, so are you. 

Girl, know we love you, and support you, even if you have a screw loose.  (J/K)  Know that you are never a factory reject to us.  Lord, I must be tired, I'm sitting here thinking about that Christmas program that comes on every year, you know the one with the land of misfit toys...Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer!  Time to log off and get some sleep.  Holy moly, it's almost 2 AM.

You need to figure out a better way to have fun. It is good to know you are safe and back in the fold again.

Get some sleep. You were still up as I was GETTING up. Sleep was elusive so I got some coffee, a warm snuggly and started a good book.

This will sort out eventually. In the mean time I'll have to get a container of Lock-tight to keep the screws in place.
