I know, typical guy, always over-evaluating and analyzing ....

But...

I started back on "the program" and it seems like when I do this, I am always really hungry at first, then a couple of days into it I am not "starving" like I felt the first couple of days...

Since the pouch don't shrink (right??) I was just wondering why that is?

This morning I didn't eat until after 10am... and felt fine really... sure wasn't like that in the beginning of the week!

Hey Marc,
I think it's your blood sugar evening out. When you take in more protein you sugar doesn't fluctuate like it did with carbs.
Carbs make you hungry cuz there's a high and low with sugar.
You are on the right track. When I used to start the Aitkins diet, the first 3 days were the worst. After that it was fairly easy with little hunger.
Good luck to you and hang in there.

hey marc i bet the pouch did shrink some after not eating as much the first 3 days...they say the stomach shrinks when you go on a diet and stick to it for days on end then when you try to eat alot of food you can't because the stomach shrunk...also i agree with what alice said too...

Marc....I don't know why it happens but it is so true.....I think our bodies and minds have just adjusted to a smaller amount of food.

Being a carboholic makes you crave more carbs. Since you are curbing the carbs the first few days are the hardest and then your body tends to not crave them as bad.

You are definetly on the right track and you sound like you are doing just super! So keep up the great job and know that in the end your efforts are going to pay off big time!
