support group

As I live 90 miles from Hurley Medica Center where they have a support group, (my surgery is at Hurley) I am wondering if there are any  of our members  around Sterling, Mi that have had or are having surgery soon.  I don't know of anyone myself and I sure would like to have someone in this area to communicate with, both now and after surgery.   I don't know if  this is a request that is permitted by the board, but thought I would ask.  I started the pre-op diet Sunday and so far, not having any problems, except for the awful taste in my mouth--got some gum to chew today, nutrition'st said it was OK to do this and it does help.  Sandra 

hi sandra...have you tried posting this on the michigan board?? there are some nice people there that could help you with support groups and friendship...but some are back stabbers so beware....(i used to live in michigan) my main support group is here on OFF (over 50 forum) lots of support and they sure don't give you any grief either!!!
