What's New ~ Wednesday
Good Morning Everyone,
I thought I'd get you all started being as I was up early and had a few minutes....
We'll be leaving the house in a few minutes for the hospital. Surgery is set for 7:30 and I have to be there at 6:15 ...ugh.
Thanks for all your warm wishes and prayers - both are so welcomed . I'll be looking forward to talkin' to y'all when I'm back - I only have to stay overnight in ICU - so if all goes as planned I should be home tomorrow sometime.... DH John said he'd post to you later today as well.
I love you ... individually and as my family.
ps... the short straight hair is terrific - no more bad hair days for me ! lol.. I got it cut shorter than ever in June . One more trim should see ther last of the colored hair gone - and it's back to "au nauturalle" - grey for me.

Good luck today Joyce! I had been wondering when you would be having the surgery.
Yesterday flew by. I barely sat at all. I think I put out more fires. My team seems to be depending on me more and more. I think this is a good thing. They are seeing me as an asset to them to help them with their jobs.
I stopped by to visit Norronda after work. I ended up staying around as they released her. It did give me a chance to talk with her nurse practitioner and to make sure she had all the accurate information. I am glad I did. I didn't get home til after 9. I took my vitamins, set my coffee up for this morning, and went to bed. I was so tired. Norronda finally has her appointment today for Mobility transportation. They will pick her up and then bring her back. This will help so much as she will have a ride to and from her appointments now. She won't need to depend on me so much. I am trying hard to teach this young woman Independence.
Anyway! Love to all of you!

The love of my OH Family has me humbled!!!!
just have a couple of minutes- i went back to sleep (with alarm clock in hand) on the couch....
so- yesterday i get to work and
A) Alexa( -my super's daughter w cancer) is back in the hospital since saturday nite- she is fighting an infection now and white blood counts are looooow-surgery today--thank you , connie for posting on her page!!!!!!!! please keep her in prayers if ya have an extra one!
B) our Sheriff( -who has served 6 terms and was running unopposed for #7 this Nov) died sunday in his home---possibly we will be off work friday due to funeral but i doubt it! anyhow-biiig impact at the courthouse
C) the gal who left our job when we started was there yesterday visiting- we work in a small room -5 ppl and the walls close in--she is loud -i mean LOUD- and so while she was there nothing got done- nor for the rest of the day out of two coworkers! and today won't be any better-kyle turns 21 today so food and cake and after work they are all going out for birthday drink-i can't due to michael's PT....
did my plasma thing-protein was at 6.4 (need 6.0 and above)and i have been pushing it! and iron was only 39( need 38 and above)--again - pushing pushing and so i was able to give but dang it really feels tuff to be so close to the numbers....and we really do need the income right now...
ok- enough whiny stuffs...
today michael starts PT for his shoulder-worker's comp has approve dit til 11/27--yippee!!!!
oh-miraculously my tab button is working again!!! whooo hoooo!

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

It feels good to be home. It was marvelous to see my grands, daughter, SIL and even the dog Jasper. But there is no place like home!!!
Travis delights in patting me on the head and telling me how SHORT I have grown(?) Hey kid, who's growing!!
Lindsay, Anne-Marie and I hit the stores for more clothes shopping. Lindsay is a marathon shopper with her own special style - pink, sparkles and flowers - oh my oh my! Anne-Marie had given her a generous price limit but Jeepers - how could she possibly put back the very best outfits? Grandma to the rescue of course.
My daughter is still not well. Her doctors are baffled and are sending her to an allergist and a doctor who specializes in immunology. This began with the bee sting and tetanus shot last month. Possibly tomorrow we will have some answers.
The furbrats missed us even though my brother came twice a day. At 2 AM they were still walking all over us and purring like thunder. They/we slept until 4 AM when Tony woke us all up once again. It's going to be a long, sleepy day for me. Tom still has another day of vacation.
Later this afternoon I see my surgeon about the newest hernias. I'll let you know later.

It is a crisp cool 48 degrees this morning...bbbrrrrrrrr!!! I am so not ready for this. Monday I was wearing shorts and a tank top...today I need a coat!! Gotta love Minnesota!!
I spoke with my grandchildren, Kyleigh, Amanda and Lucas last night. Yesterday was their first day back to school. They all had stories to tell me about how that went!!! What great kids....I am so blessed!!
Spoke with Nic......this is his second week of school. He was studying for 4 tests he has today.....not real happy about it and I can't blame him! Gracie was talking away about her sandbox and the bunnie in the yard....she is a chatterbox!! Love all thoses grands so much!!
I ended up working 9 hours yesterday.....I knew it would be a busy work day and it was. I could have worked longer but got too tired after that many hours and quit for the night. The long weekends are great but the catching up is a bummer!!
Not much else to chat about. You know you are all in my thoughts and prayers. I pray you all have a beautiful and peaceful day.
