Hankering for that DS already

Yeah, I did have Rny in April '05 and it only workeld for a year, if that long. Then stayed stalled for a year and then started gaining, slowly, then more quickly, then slowing down. What the $#@#$# !! Okay, after my local surgeon suggested a lapband over the Rny, and I was looking into this online, I happened over to the DS forum, not sure how I got there, but oh my! lookie at what I found. A WLS that really works. I wish I had known about it before my RnY. Now if I had listened to my doctor and other doctors, I would not have known abut the good benefits of the duodenal switch. I couldn't understand why not more surgeons knew about it and the true facts and not the myths about it. There was an older version called the BPD, sans DS, that caused an awful lot of nutritional problems along with gas and foul smelling and the pooping was unreal. But, this newer version made quite a comeback and not near like the old version. If one would just hop over to the DS forum and read about it before putting it down, you would come to know, as I have, how miraculous the DS is. I have had to wait a bit to just get four grand to pay for the program fee as some California surgeons charge, but oh my, I aim to get the best doc, okay one of the best in the country to perform my revision to DS from RnY! to me.

Good luck....I hope you get the surgery you want.

Why didn't the RNY work??? Did something happen like the surgery wasn't preformed correctly???Why do you feel DS will work better then the RNY did??? I don't get it.....

Come to the DS forum and find out. It just backfired on me the RnY did. See the revision board and see on how many people the RnY failed. True, it does not fail everyone, but a good portion. It was a crapshoot and I lost the throw of the die. With the DS you have more of a leeway as far as eating most things that you cannot eat with the RnY. You do not have to exercise as hard or as much. Better weight loss results, and the diabetes is more of a sure thing to get rid of forever.I have been dieting all my life and I wanted to get away from it. I wish I had know about the DS in the first place. I lost several years of a good life. And I absolutely hate this pouch. It regenerates and look where I am now.
