Paulette, you and Earl remain in my prayers, as does you DD and DGD's also. Please remember to take care of YOU and that includes eating right also. Try not to get so stressed out but I know that is not easy to do when your life is so topsy turvy and your family is hurting. But just remember that if you don't take care of Paulette you aren't going to be doing any good for the family. And Earl doesn't need yet another person to take care of. Love and hugs to you, my sister and special prayers are being said for your situation.

Good Morning Eileen and All,
Well after the fiasco of getting my GPS taken out of my checked bag, I got a new one. Not the one I had though, a cheaper one, It does basically the samething.
Delta refuses to pay for it. Says they arent responsible for people going thru our bags. They say they have a posting that you should keep your electronic things with you. I never saw a sign like that. Lesson learned dont check bags!!!!!
I am working the closing shift today. Maybe we will be somewhat busy.
Nothing else to much new today.

Hi Carla:

That's horrible about your GPS ... they should reimburse you for it. I would complain anyway. You never know what you can get if you don't complain.

Have a good day. I'm on the phone with Joyce.

Good morning, Eileen and my other OFF family. I just can't believe that the long week end is done and gone already. It went by just to darn fast.

I have a meeting this afternoon with the District Superintendent of the Calumet District of the United Methodist Church. I wanted to make the appointment before but she is just to busy and so a lot of it has been resolved with the talk with Pastor last week. But there are some other issues that we need to talk about. I am dreading it but I guess it comes with the job~and an unpaid one at that. lol

I started my pitching yesterday. I got one big body bag out to the dumpster last night. I call those huge leaf bags body bags because they are big enough to fit a dead body in. I also told Bill that I would put his dead body in one and just throw him in the dumpster and save the life insurance so I can grieve on the Alaskan cruise. That is a great place to do my grieving I think. I have a few things to go on freecycle this morning and then that stuff is going to be GONE forever also. We called Shawn yesterday and gave him the big blue recliner that he always loved. It was to big for me and Bill was having a terrible time getting out of it~I guess that goes with old age! So Bill is now in my recliner and I am in Mom's maple rocker. I had a terrible time a recliner since that peice of wood at the bottom of the back hits my tailbone and I am in h3ll when I sit in one. I had my donut pillow and another pillow for my back and still had a lot of problems with the pain and so that is why I decided to sit here. It is comfy and so am I. Finally!

Misty is running and jumping all over the place this morning. I got up at 4 this morning for a potty call and she thought that I was going to stay up. Boy of boy was she mistaken on that one. lol I finally opened my eyes again at 7:30 and they creaked again since she was on the bed as soon as I opened them. The must creak since she always hears them when they open. Does that go with old age too? She is addicted to haveing me scratch her chin and head. That is all she wants me to do. Now she is sitting by the baby's things that is in the bag and looking outside. Oh! There must be something out there since she is now in pounce mode! Not sure what it is since I can't see anything.

I guess I had better get going. I have some things to do before I start getting ready for my meeting. I am sending love and hugs to all along with my prayers going up, and special ones of those for those in need of them. Have a wonderful and blessed day today my dear siblings!

Well, as I said on another thread - I am working tonight and tomorrow night at the hospital so my day is flipped flopped.  I stayed up late last night and I am going to go back to bed soon.  I have got to finish a book that I started and then I will sleep.

My air conditioner is not working and with the ceiling fans on I am cool enough.  Over the past 3-4 years, I have become increasingly colder.  And that is with all my insulation!  They say that I might find with weight loss that I will be colder....  I don't get it.  Never had a hot flash either!
But back to the A/C - my son-in-law knows someone who is going to come look at it and charge it with freon.

Also my son-in-law (bless his heart) has been out with the weedeater this morning and lawn mower.  A little noisy, but I am so glad it is getting done.  He is really good to me.

Judy - I am like you - I can't remember what everyone says either, so I don't make many comments on everyone's day.  I will get better in time - or start making notes !  LOL

Have a great day and be safe.

After all those days off today I am swamped with work!! I have a meeting to attend at 1:00PM. I have to give a little presentation. It isn't much only about 100 people or so will attend. I have a ton of messages and emails to answer....could be a long day!!

Sounds like everyone here has plenty going on themselves. Prayers to those in need. I am glad Debbie is okay but am still worried about our other little gal. Hope things are going okay with her.

I spoke with both daughters and all my grandchildren yesterday. Everyone is doing okay. They all had plenty planned for over the long weekend. Sounds like it was all fun too!! I am so glad as they all needed that.

I best get going....I need to prepare for the meeting and gets those calls and emails answered.

Prayers, love, and hugs.....connie d
