Where did you lose most of your fat first?
Since my surgery (7/17/08) I have lost 35 lbs. Of course, I am excited by this, and I can notice that I have lost, especially in my face. Many of my tops are getting too big on me. But it seems as though the most stubborn of my fat is right around my weight, abdomen and butt. The legs of my pants are very loose, but around the waist everything is the same. Can I still be swollen? Is this typical? Am I going to be doomed to this tire around the middle?
I lost in my face first! Then the earlobes, neck...next it went right to my fingers, traveled to my boobs, ran to my toes...yikes....the whole process completely skipped my belly and my huge, unbelieveable hips! I think losing weight is mostly the same for us all. The body wants to hold onto the main storage in the belly and hips for survival...I could live for years!!! Keep the faith and you too will turn around in the mirror and say " where did it all go?!"
Claudy, you're too funny. I could live for years as well!!
I lost first in the face, then the "girls" went, and believe it or not, all over I'm losing pretty evenly. I haven't noticed, except for the girls, any significant "dent" but I know it's an all-over loss because I'm down from a 32 (tight) stretch pants to 22 zip up dress pant, and a 30 (straining the seams) stretch material blouse to a 20-22 cotton blouse. I know those are still pretty high size numbers, but I haven't been a 22 pant since my youngest was a baby. He's 24, married, and in the Army now. Keep on keeping on, everyone!!

I lost in the face first also....and my fingers were thinner almost instantly. I haven't worn my wedding set since two weeks out. Everything else seems to be losing fairly equally except for my tummy. It is losing too, just more slowly. I've dropped from a size 28 to a 16 now. My "girls" are still looking pretty good except for the scar from the cancer surgery. I went for a plastic surgery consult and was told I have plenty to lift and perk. I am totally happy with the loss so far. If I never lost another ounce I would still be thrilled to death.
