Good Morning all,
Today we will spend at our daughters helping her and being there when the SIL brings the grands back. We were supposed to go to a family picnic about an hour away but decided against it.
The scale shows 242 two days in a row... 50 lbs gone without surgery.. but I saw the pics at the Illinois meet & greet from Saturday and was really disappointed when i saw me in them. To me I look exactly the same as I did at 292. how is that possible?? my clothing sizes have definately changed...is it because I am still the same shape?? Oh well maybe I need to work on body image?? I am going to keep on keepin on though as I never want the scale to show anything above 250 again, and can;t wait till it shows under 200.
Hugs, Pulette

Hi Deb and my OFF family:
It's nearly noon now so I won't say good morning. I slept til nearly 10 ... must have needed it. I started really hurting late last night ... both knees, right around the patellar tendon (where the knee beds) ... now I'm used to that on the right (replacement) knee, and that was hurting more than usual, but not the left knee. It hurt everytime I tried to bend it. I was lying in bed flat on my back ... tried the Icy Hot rub on both of them ... didn't work ... I had already taken my vicodin and my neurontin and I just waited for them to kick in. I brought in an ice pack ... stuck it on my back first to see if it was something from my back kicking up; nope, didn't help ... then put it on the left knee and it finally quieted down enough so I could get to sleep, sometime after 12:30 (I watched Grey's Anatomy, part of "Under the Tuscan Sun"). It was a rough night! Are we getting rain? Sure feels like it! Ortho doc better do something on Tuesday ... I'm sick of this!
I almost did something stupid on Sunday ... was flipping back and forth during ballgames to QVC and ordered three corduroy blazers on EasyPay. A couple of hours later, I thought, "Why am I doing this? I can't afford this!" So I canceled it. At least I had the good sense to do that. And after I did that, I had problems with my dryer ... now I need to have my dryer fixed. Is there anything in this house that isn't broken? Including me? First the frig, then my recliner, then the faucet, oh, and the window I haven't gotten fixed (not an emergency ... the pane isn't broken, just the thing that rolls it out, and it's only one window) ... and now the dryer doesn't heat.
I was having a great conversation with Brenda last night and got a call waiting from my friend Roxane ... haven't talked with her in a few weeks. So after finishing up with Brenda, I called Rox back and we chatted for awhile. She is so busy, as usual, with kids and work and husband ... imagine being 52 and having a 7-year-old and an 11-year-old and then a 56-year-old kid (her hubby). Anyway, toward the end of the phone call, her 7-year-old daughter, Erin, my goddaughter, comes up and says, "Mommy, I left you a present in the bathroom." Rox says, "Hmm, I wonder what this is." So she goes upstairs and finds messy underpants and shorts left there ... "Erin, you crapped in your pants!" she yells. And then I hear Erin yelling in the background, "Mommy, you promised you wouldn't be mad!" At that point, Rox said, "I have to go, we have a problem here." Ah, it's always something around that household.
I have to work today, but it's OK: I get triple time ... double time for working, plus extra for not taking a day off.
Handyman Larry showed up ... can't do much for my faucet ... I will have to buy a new filter first. But he's trying to fix the window arm at least ... if we can keep Diva from trying to get out the window while it's open.
Catch ya later. Glad that Debbie's out of harm's way ... hope our other friend is safe too.

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Once again I have read this thread but never posted on it, but today I fel like I have the time and I want to get to know everyone better, so I need to extend my hand, too.
I worked all weekend and it felt so good to sleep late... I don't see the need for getting up before 8:30 in the morning, do you?? And when I am working I have to be up at 4:30. Yikes!
I have been trying to unclutter - a little at a time. Slow process, though. I have several magazines that I have wanted to read and never find the time, so I am stacking them in one place for later.
My daughter, Lori, had rented several movies and none of which I have seen. She brought The Bucket List for me to watch and I watched it this morning. A tear jerker! I know probably everyone has already seen it, but I don't make time for movie watching!
My grandson is 6 and of course, he called this morning to ask if he could come over. I picked him up around 12:30 and we have played Connect Four and Chutes and Ladders. He also helped me with my bean soup and washed a few dishes for me. Steele is playing football and I had to have him home by 5 so that he could get ready for football practice.
Lori and Mattie came over for a few minutes today too. Mattie is 17 months and such a girly-girl.
Grandbabies are wonderful...
I have hit the treadmill a couple of times and the mini exercise cycle, too. I don't have much stamina, but I figure a little here and there is better than nothing. Short bursts of exercise...
We have had rain here for days... But today has been clear. Hope that everyone along the Gulf are okay. It is hard to believe that it was only 3 years ago for Katrina.
I am going to get thru one of my magazines tonight so that I can file it away permanently... maybe in File 13 if you know what I mean.

Well, it is definately not morning. Trying to get my clothes washed for the work week. The door down in the laundry room is broken and it is difficult to get open. My clothes are in the dryer so hopefully I'll be able to get into the laundry to get them out. I live in a old condo complex, and I'm sure the manager is no where to be found. HELP THEY ARE HOLDING MY CLOTHES HOSTAGE!
I had a treat, my grand daughter called me on a whim. She 13 going on 25. I got to hear her fix her hair, put on makeup, on load the dishwasher, etc. All the time she was rattleing on. It made my day. I could her her step-dad in the background being his usual clueless self. I'm going to take her and my grandson out for seafood on the 18th, there Mom's by daughter's birthday. We started the tradition last year. Trying to make it a celebration instead of a day of mourning.
I have the 2nd attempt of my first fill on Friday. Nervous as a cat in a room of rocking chairs.
I hope all of you had a safe and enjoyable day. I'm going to see if I have to pay a ransom on my clothes.
