Thanks to all of you *****sponded to my topic this morning. I can't tell you how much all your kind words mean to me. When I started on this forum I was almost going to NOT have this surrgery. I had just finished reading a book about wls and it scared me. I am not scared any more. In fact, thanks to you all I am really feeling good about it again and this time I have no more questions I need answered. I even feel comfortable about having an open surgery. Again, thanks. Nancy

Hi Nancy, this is a very personal decision we all have to make. I wavered back and forth for quite awhile and it wasn't until just recently that I realized I cannot live without it. The pace I was going with poor eating habits was leading me to an early grave. And the reasons I was doing that to myself I'm just discovering thru counseling.
It is a lifestyle change that is not the easy road to take but for me it's the only road. I've lived my life wrong up to this point and I'm making a commitment to myself to change that.
This forum is great and very supportive. If you ever need any help or support you know where to come.

Alice, you spoke the word for me also, i couldn't have said it better.the habit i have now is going to put me in early grave also.but thanks to Connie and everyone on oh that have supported me i feel really comfortable going into surgery tomorrow.
