Help ...Constipation

I tried Benefiber....what else is out there that works that is safe for us...I am six weeks out from gastric bypass.

You should call your surgeon & follow his instructions. Be sure you are drinking lots of water. My surgeon said only Milk of Magnesia, and I had to take it periodically for the first 6 months. After I added more salads, vegetables & more exercise the problem went away.

Ask about prune juice or stewed prunes. They really work.

There is an Herbal tea you can buy in the grocery store called "Smooth Move". and yes, it works....but ask your surgeon first........

Always ask your doctor before taking any kind of medication.

My surgeon suggest Maralax...it is a powder and disolves in water. I have only needed it twice in the last year.

I take Benefiber once a day everyday.

I need to take Mirelax every day, usually twice a day, and then maybe in 4 or 5 days, it will work. If I do not skip a day, it will continue to work, but more often than not, I miss an evening dose and then it is like starting over, twice a day for 4 or 5 days. Ah well, such is life.
