***Debbie S is safe and sound. . .
Debbie, George, and GIII, her son, are safely at her sister's on the other side of the "big pond." She said it just took them an hour to get there and they are hoping to be able to ride things out there and not have to go farther! I told her I'd report in as everyone would want to know as soon as we heard anything from her. I'm not sure how long that bridge over Lake Ponchartrain (sp?) is, but I think 20 some miles????? Don't quote me on that but it's loooonnnnggg and nothing bu****er all around. I sure wouldn't want to be crossing it will heavy winds and rain. I'm so glad they've arrived there safely.

Glad to hear yall are alright Deb. We've been tuned in to the weather channel all weekend. Talked to all of our folks yesterday. Even though they had a mandatory evac (Iberia Parish) they chose not to go. They just boarded up their windows. My Mom (who lives in Jeanerette) did go to my brother's house, in Youngsville. I'm so glad Gustav lost a lot of its umph (is that a word?). It doesn't look too bad. Good Luck, Hope yall don't have too much damage.
Hugs, Peggy
