Karen.......some weight gain is normal.
Are you still manintaining one cup of food per meal?? Protein first? 64 ounces water? Exercise? Vitamins? Calcium?

If you are following all this then maybe you just need to change up your routine and meals alittle.

I am only one year out and can't help you much. There are others on here that will be better able to answer your questions.

Hi Karen,  I too have had the same problem with a slight weight gain.... Lap Band Surgery in Oct of '06.  Finally went to nutritionist and she put me on the liquid diet for 5 days.... just chicken or beef broth (4 cups a  day) and a total of 9 oz of protein such as cold cuts - turkey, ham or roast beast!    Must take  Potassium Pill & Vitamin and also the other fluids, such as water, tea, coffee,, etc..... No sugar drinks.

So far, this is my fourth day on and I am seeing the scale finally go down... It's sooooo depressing to come this far and see the scale go up........ I know I was eating way too much before and this will just put me back on track to lose again.  I know you can do it too.....I will be glad to keep in touch with you if I can help you.......   My Best Wishes for you to Get Back on Track.   Joan

Hi Connie:
Just thanks for replying for I just need support. Husband no help tells me he appreciates me either way, daughteras both have had Bypass surgery and they had great results, but both are young and energetic, burning more metabolism than me.
I can eat more than a cup of food, but have cut down even if still hungry. Yes, water, tea, crystal lite plenty of fluids. Vitamins everyday,.Need to walk more, or exercise more a day than I use to
have gotten lazy & depressed over  weight gain.
Today is Sunday 8/31/08, I promise to watch what I eat, drink at least 64 ozs, and exercise everyday to see if I lose at 1-2. I know it's a step a day.
Please stay in contact with me for moral support.
Contacted a doctor in Ft. Worth Texas about new procedure called Stomaphyx for bypass
candidates whose pouches may have stretched. Waiting reponse.
