Last post from me until ???

Well, my little ploy didn't work.  GIII dug his feet in harder.  That's one male who doesn't respond well to tears and hysterics.  Darn.  He and I came to an understand that if I calmed down he would strongly consider leaving.  But he was not about to be stuck in a car for hours with me going crazy!  OK, I can calm down LOL!  George also apealed to his sense of family by saying that it would help us greatly to have him with us in case of an emergency and also with his pass so that we'd be able to get back home within a day after Gus passes.  So for now, we pretty much have him convinced to go to my sister's house.  Once we get across the Causeway (25 mile bridge across Lake Pontchartrain), who know what will happen.  We may or may not be able to actually get to sister's house.  Once GIII is in the car, he's trapped - what's he going to do, get out and walk.  The worst he could do is make or lives miserable *****ing and complaining.  In that case, we may put him out on the side of the highway and make him walk!

Time to disconnect the 'puter and place it in a safe place.  The tower is coming with us - don't want out important banking and confidential work info getting into the wrong hands in the event of looting.  Mayor Nagin, for what it's worth, says all looters will immediately be sent to Angola state prison.  Yeah, right!

Been there done that. . . the bridge that is. What with "Wrong Way Seymour" giving me directions I saw way more of what I didn't intend to see trying to get out of NO than what I did. That is one long bridge! Luckily for me I was able to turn around the day I went too far trying to find Debbie and McDonalds two years ago. . .Only two years? Seems like much longer than that!! Drive and ride safe Debbie and family! Sounds like GIII and my Nate are very similar in stubbornness. I think we've talked about that before!

I am new to the 50's board so not sure who Glll is or what all that is about.  But you are one funny gal!!!!!  I have even gone back many pages just to read your posts.

Saying prayers for you and all of the gulf people.  Hope they all have your sense of humor. 

I have gone thru hurricaines, tornados, earthquakes, typhoons and a bad marriage.  Will take the first 4 any time.
