More savory meals after surgery?
I was reading Nancy's post about the 3 small plate meal she had last nite (hehehe) and it brought me to a question. At my support group mtg on Thurs nite, some of the folks discussed that since surgery, they are preparing more luscious meals than they did pre-surgery. it seems like they are buying finer cuts of meats, preparing smaller but more creative dishes. I think the point was that they are enjoying the food more because they eat slower and savor it as opposed to basically inhaling it, so it is worth it to spend more time and money on the meal and preparation. I hate to cook, but wondered if you found that to be true, or if you began to enjoy cooking more after surgery. BTW, Nancy, your meal sounded wonderful!
