Hi Nancy and welcome to the wonderful world of OFF. I love all these fantastic people so much and owe them so much. We offer support and unconditional love along with laughs, tears, sharing and just such a deep love and affection for each other.

Please feel free to join in and post often so we can get to know each other. We do have Pat R. from Michigan who was in her 60's when she had her surgery but she is on vacation right now. I am sure that you will enjoy talking with her. She is just a sweetie. I have been fortunate enough to meet her along with a few others. I am so looking forward to meeting more of my sisters and brothers.

   I am 58 and had VSG on July 30th and already feel 10 years younger......... so much energy and feeling great !!  I couldn't wait for the 6 month and paid for it myself............so worth it.

I have to wait my six months but I figure with all the support I have been getting on this site the time will go by fast. I figure I will me ready in Feb. I have had two appointments with my nutritionist already. I have lost five pounds. I am 5 foot 3 inches and I now weigh 327. I am so grateful for all the friendly, supportive people who answered my post. Thanks again. Nancy

Hi Nancy: My name is Patricia and I am 16 months out and it is amazing how my life has been changed...down 175 lbs, BMI was 50.1 now 23.1 , lost over 90 inches off my body, trigylcerides down from 611 to 118 , cholesterol from 240 to 130...clothes size from 30/32 ( and they were tight) down to 8...you can't get any better than this sugery. I like this quote ..."Nothing tastes as good as thin feels"...The decision is yours and everyone on this site knows the importance of it and severity of the decision and we stand behind you....Keep talking with us... Hi Pat, Thank you for your kind words. I ahve read profile after profile and I have discvered one thing:Everybody is glad they have had the surgery no matter what they had to go through. I ahve only found one person *****gretted it and she had gained all her weight back.
There is no support group around here. The closest is 75 miles away and I don't drive. I want to start one around here but I am not qualified to do it. My surery will be at the place that is 75 miles away. I want to go to one now for support. I am so glad I found this site and this forum. The wonderful people on this site ahve made me realize that if they can do it----so can I. Thanks again

OH just asked me to start an online support group and I sure would love you to come join us... we still working at the glitches but, I am willing to answer any and all questions.
