I am new to this forum

I had no problems with recovery. I had NO PAIN at all, even with my pani removal, NO PAIN.......it is later years we have to watch out for stuff and take really good care of ourselves.

I am 57 and I am 10 days post op today.  You go for it....... Best wishes

   I will be 64 years old next January and I am having surgery Sept 10.   I will be happy to share my experiences with you, etc.   I am going into it with the assumption that I will get along as well as those in their 20's and 30's.  I think there are many variables, but not nearly as many risks as there used to be.   Please feel free to contact me directly and I will let you know how I am doing, etc.  I hope to post a lot of it because I know how helpful it has been for me to be able to read about many other people.   Cathy

Hi Nancy,

I am 57 and just had lap band surgery on Aug 12th!  It was a piece of cake, no complications at all.  Just be sure and do everything the doc tells you to do before hand.  I have lost 18 lbs since surgery and a total of 35!  Join us on the losers bench!
