Hi Everyone ...new about new online support group
Good Morning Everyone: First THANK-YOU all for the prayers and concerns over my recent problems with my feeding tube. The antibiotics have done a great job...the draiange as of this AM non existant and the pain has improved considerably....
At the request of OH I have started an Online Support Group for those who have had less than an ideal road either pre or post operatively...check it out...My desire is to minister and encourage people through the rough waters and lend them HOPE and so Cathy Wilson has named the group... All of us Chapter Leaders have the online groups here on OH....are you a leader also? There is also forums for those that have complications....how will you be different if I was to send some one your way or the forum way?

Hi Darlene: Yes I am also a support group leader and an RN as well. I am working hard to start my life coaching classes in October with Cathy Wilson.
Well, everyone brings something else to the table I guess. I want to provide encouragement and most of all Hope. The complication boards are filled with people who sound like they don't have HOPE but there is and I can help explain the medical side since I am a nurse. It's not a site for recommendations medically because each one will get a response to see their surgeon but, it is however a link that I can help people understand what is happening to them or what has happened to them. It will have to develop as time goes on just like our regular support group meetings it will take on a personality of its own. When I started my support group this March I was heading in one direction but, guess what over the past 6 mos it has taken slight detours from demand and how the personalities of people brought it along. It never just belongs to me its ours...So, we will have to see. I do however do not want it to be a place that is depressing and I will work very heard to keep away from that attitude.
