What I wouldn't give once and a while for a cold flash- lol-   I always read and hear how walking is so good for you, but I don't think some realize how hard it is with an extra 100+ pounds to walk with.  God Bless-  Jan

If there is anywhere that you can walk in water ....try it...it works...the water takes the weight off of your legs and body.....I used it before and I use it now....Love, Marti

I have read tha****er is great, but I am not a water fan.  Never learned how to swim, so it kinda scares me.   But I love the idea of it though, as I don't think I'd sweat so much.  God Bless,  Jan

Welcome!!!

Just start out slow....walk a half of a block if that....just get yourself in a routine. Don't pressure yourself. Tiny baby steps!!!  Little by little you will want to walk more.

Water walking is the best.....pain free and so soothing!!! Even twice a week would help.

When I started I couldn't hardly walk across a room. My knees and hips hurt so bad. I had a really hard time. Now....I run up and down the stairs!!  I still have COPD, Fibromyalgia, and arthritis too!!!

Good luck...hope you can get started....you won't be sorry.

Hugs, connie d

Hi Jan,
I'm preop as well so can't tell you too much about the exercise or how it goes after surgery but....I can tell you that black cohosh works wonders for hot flashes. I took it after my hysterectomy and it really does work. Hope you feel better soon and blessings for your surgery as well!
