New here-thanks to Jan

I just wanted to introduce myself and say hi.  I am glad to have found this over 50 board.  I am 51 and live in austin TX.  I was banded on 1/28/08 and have lost 47 lbs. and I have about another 25 to go.  I love my band and its the best thing I have ever done for me.  I am an emergency room nurse but I only work part time now.  My husband recently retired from the FAA as an air traffic controller so we are going through a transition now.  He is very supporative of me and my surgery which is helpful.  I have 2 grown kids and 3 grandkids-just wish they lived closer.  Its great to fine a forum for the over 50 group.  I wasn't a candidate for RNY since my BMI was a little lower than whats usual and I have had pancreatitis in the past.  I'm hoping this forum will be open to all forms of WLS.  Can't wait to talk to y'all some more.

I haven't been here long either, but Welcome ! 

I am also an ER nurse and work prn.  Great job somedays, huh???  I was banded a week ago, and went back to work yesterday.  I really missed those crazy folks that I work with...
Feeling good and can't wait to reach my first goal of 200.

Hope to gt to know you better over the next few weeks.

Welcome to you, Teanne. I am so glad that you found us. We love to have new sisters on here and remember that you a part of us now. I had some problems finding everyone here too but I am so glad that I did. I feel like I am home now.

We offer support and love to everyone. We share laughs, tears, happiness and sadness. We offer unconditional love and will answer any questions that anyone has. We have some very knowledgeable people on here.
