Oh Eileen...I feel for you with that nasty knee....so many of us kow what that knee pain is like....it just takes over your thoughts somedays....and the only thing that lets you geet through the day is pain pills.I feel like that surgeon did not do a good job on you.....but then you know that.....I just wish there was something  you could do about it. Good for you for working on that excercycle ...even when in pain...wow that hurts.

I hate to tell you this, but I didn't give up my wine ...yet....and I still;lost that is why my husband is so amazed. Tonight I have to go to a Birthday party.....at a restaurant on the patio....and it will be fun as it is all good friends.....and there will be WINE....
I am willing to work out harder not to give it up.

I also think I had cut back too much on food and my body thought it was starving??...so when I gave it all those cooked veges yesterday....it breathed a sigh of relief and gave up those 4 pounds. LOL
Love, Marti

that may be ... your body goes into starvation mode sometimes. And veggies have a lot of water too.

Hey, I like my beer too, so who am I to get on you about your wine? I just limit mine to two a week (more if I'm on vacation ... mostly because I know I can't handle it). But I can't (or won't) work out that much more. Good for you for commiting yourself to the gym.

Wish I could get this ortho doc to admit to something (this is the second surgeon ... the revision specialist). They look at the x-rays and scans and don't see anything wrong, so nothing's wrong.

That is fantastic super duper news, Marti. I knew you would accompli**** You are very much a survivor and survivors always do it!

I have found that the last couple of days I have been doing some naughty grazing. I was given a container of little mini cupcakes (chocolate of course!). They were (yes I said were) about the size of a quarter. Well, guess what got my undivided attention on Monday and Tuesday? You got it! i just grazed on them. I said to myself each time I ate one that I had to make sure that I didn't eat to many of them at the same time or I would be sorry. So I just rationed them out. Then I would tell myself that I am not going to eat them and that went in one ear and out the other. lol

Now that they are gone I am hoping that it is done but i am not going to make any bets on it. I am trying though.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

A Survivor Brenda.??...yeah maybe...but "I get by with a LOT of help from my friends"...

What is it about food  [and glass] that we don't seem to be able to throw away. [I have noticed that so many people just can't throw away glass, like old drinking glasses, vases [you could get at the dollar store] etc.

Anyway....I am getting better at pitching food.....I am proud to say there were some slices of chocolate bread cake in a container on top of the microwave for two weeks....my husband got into it periodically, but he just threw them away yesterday.....I think they were even too stale for him...but they wre sort of a badge of honor for me......I don't think we should do that however, Annette is right keep it out of the house, but
I think the real answer is contantly choosing right for us....Be good to yourself Babydoll.....Destroy it if it is a tempatation!!!

Marti,
Fantastic!!! I knew you would lose the weight. Our Marti doesn't give up.

We can't get it through our heads that we MUST eat to lose. Certainly not like the old days of starvation dieting. We remind each other to EAT!!

Alas, I am the 'food police' in our home. No will power for me so any known temptation has to stay away. Tom still gets his goodies but they stay in his office or go to work with him.

Good job. Have fun tonight.

Thanks sweetie...I really do know I couldn't do it without your support....I just know I can come to you when I am down and you lift me up and make me believe I can do it......you know "the keep your eye on the prize" part.

Hope your hernias are better....I haven't had a chance to check What's New lately.....I am busy now doing a listing presentation for a big house and a very fussy seller...who says he will only list with me...and is not even talking to anyone else...which really puts the pressure on. Love, Marti
