My Body finally gave up.....4 pounds yesterday....
Oh Peggy I hope you don't need any of those nasty 4 pounds....I now have to just concentrate on keeping it off....it is so hard for us, isn't it...we really aren't that hungry to eat a meal...we just want a little nibble here and there....so I need to concentrate on good choices.....thanks for your support. Gosh Marti, I sure don't need any more pounds than I already have. What I actually meant was to send me some of your enthusiasm and strength. You know we're house and puppy sitting for my daughter while they are on vacation and I am using her computer, it's hard to get used to it. Anyway, congratulations!!

Thanks Jean ....I am trying to eat at least one banana everyday as it is so good for us.....I figure if I have a banana and an apple everyday...I hopefully will "keep the doctor away"...and those cherrios fill my need for crunchy...Blessings to you also honey. Love, Marti

You are one determined woman when you want to be, and you are on the right track now. May I suggest that if you like crunchy (I sure do!), get some soy crisps (Paul Newman has some great barbeque kind). They are very crunchy AND they have 12 grams of protein per serving. I sometimes eat a whole bag in a day...that'a about 375 calories and 40 grams of protein!

Woohoo! I'm so proud of you! I told you it was muscle.
I, too, have taken inspiration from the Olympic athletes, especially the swimmers ... I want to get back in the pool but don't have the money, so instead I toil away on my little exercycle and do my weights (and boy, does replacement knee hate the cycle!)
You know, they say it's harder to lose the older you get ... it took me three years to reach goal, Marti, when other people were dropping the pounds really easily. I'm glad now that it took that long because my skin isn't as droopy as some others.
Keep up the good work ... limit the booze to once or twice a week ****ep it to weekends ... two beers a week ... it's all I can handle anyway without getting smashed).
