Linda,

Good thing you wote this today instead of yesterday - I may have written a description to refresh your memory - OH would have bumped me off the boards.

The drug used to knock me out was wonderful but made me weird all day long. At one point I staggered out of bed and headed to the fridge. Tom asked what I was doing - I said "eating". He laughed and said I had just had a dish of cottage cheese. Good grief, I had no clue what time it was, whether or not I had had anything to eat or drink.

I do know I drank much more than usual because my container of Crystal Light was emptied very early in the day. No wonder I kept getting up to pee so often. Feeling really good and rested today.

B - cottage cheese, blueberries, Kashi
L - ham and tossed salad
D - not sure yet
S - apple and PB2

Morning Linda,

It's the first day of my vacation and it's POURING rain.

Will have my usual and am a lot nervous about my food intake "on the road." Had planned on lots of picnics to be able to eat better but this rain is only going to get worse the more west we go.... maybe picnics in the car? Haven't been away from home this far or long since surgery. I would just hate coming home with added poundage. Won't have my treadmill, and the B&Bs won't have a gym area...If it's raining won't be doing alot of walking outside...hmmm....

Have a great Wednesday, and if we have wireless I will be checking in.

Cheryl

Yesterday after I got home, I tried to eat my way out of misery - didn't work!  I grazed all evening and into the night, and the problems are still there, along with a few extra pounds I'm sure.  this morning I feel almost hung over.  As I posted to Brenda's "Happy Hump Day", it's time to put on the big girl panties and deal with it.    I'm eating and can't stop!

B - fruit with ff cream cheese dip
S - protein shake
L - b'day party here at work.  I know there'll be cold cuts, cheese, and salad, so I hope to choose wisely
S - yogurt
D - the last of my steak from Sunday and salad
S - something high protein, maybe a boiled egg or protein shake

  Here's to better eating today!

Debbie, you know what you are eating, and you know why, that is recovery. We are not perfect, however, you do not go on over eating for days and days, and that's called progress, how great is that??
Hugs!

Linda....Hello Pretty Lady!!

Today I am feeling somewhat better then yesterday. How I managed to put in two 8 hour days of work is beyond me. I guess I was on automatic pilot! Not much work to do today or tomorrow as I have a full day Friday again. I hate when I have to work Fridays!

Talked to Nic yesterday afternoon. He was as funny as ever. He was telling me all about his first day back at school yesterday. I love him soooooo much!!

Hope Olivia and the children are doing okay. You haven't said much lately. You know you are all in my prayers!

S-pineapple
L-cod and brocolli
S-blueberries and almonds

Hiya Boo! Sometimes work can be a great distraction, for which I can be grateful for...and yes, I bet you do go on auto pilot,I know I do.
Olivia is hanging in there, has not gone back to work yet, and seems to sleep a lot, getting used to some new antidepresants.   The boys are back in school and their problems are just barely beginning to be addressed. I know Olivia has an appointment for them next week, I pray that she keeps it.
I came home yesterday and cried...some days ya just gotta let it out, it can be good therapy.
I am you got to speak with sweet Nic, he, and your family are in my prayers. God gave your family a mountain to climb. There is an old religious song that says "This time God, you gave me a mountain".
My heart goes out to you, dear Connie, and you have a lovely family.
Take care, and many blessings.

Linda,

My congressman's office has agreed to investigate my mother's VA claim.  I just have to get her signature on a release form (the VA won't accept my signature even though I have her power of attorney.  I'll say this: if her measly benefit amount turns out to be gender-related, I'm going to be real busy talking to the media about it!

B:  1 packet weight control oatmeal w/ 2/3 c. skim milk, 1/2 banana, & 1 tsp PB2
S:  1/2 c. butterscotch cottage cheese pudding
L:  2 oz Moroccan chicken salad, 1/3 c. tomato-watermelon-cucumber salad
S:  1/2 c. LF cottage cheese w/ strawberries
D:  2 oz catfish, 2 tbl pineapple-lemon relish, 1/3 c. Thai slaw
S:  4 oz SF chocolate peanut butter pudding
