Just need to share my frustration about myself with you all...who else understands?

Thanks Jeannie...that is what I had been doing is staying off the scale....that is why it was such a shock to me to have gained 7 pounds.....that was really frightening.....now I can't seem to stay off of them. My clothes were getting a little tight and I refuse to ignore that like I used to and move up to a bigger size like the old days.

It is such a struggle this old demon isn't it? My problem is with only drinking wine for socializing is I socialize A LOT!I "socialized" last night...my girlfriend and I went to see the new Woody Allen film and had a glass of wine during the movie and one after the movie with dinner. We split a single serving White pizza with Gruyere Cheese, artichhokes and tomatoes, I actually only had two slices she had four [she is a size 6] and she took the other two home.

I don't know what I am doing, but I am going to try to figure it out..Thanks for the support. Love, Marti

Angel Debbie.....you are so right it does just suck....but I guess what is...IS....so that is what I must deal with.....I have my six bottles of water lined up on my credenza behind me and I intend to drink them ALL today.

I just got back from working out...and really don't feel like eating....maybe later...but I have got to think of a different lunch.....oh well, back to work. Love, Marti

Marti,

Actually, a pound of muscle weighs exactly the same as a pound of fat.  But muscle doesn't take up as much room as fat, so my question is: did you take your measurements before you began this new regime?  I take my measurements on a monthly basis and it's very reassuring to watch the inches disappear even when my scale isn't behaving.

i did not take my measurements...actually haven't for a long time. That is a good idea...I have just been using my clothes as a guide....and they are tight [actually the reason I got ont he scale int he first place]....except for old shorts and t-shirts that I sleep in......Wll, I will try anything right now...I am eating different food and at different times....I just had cherrios, a banana and some milk for my mid-afternoon snack...who knows? Hugs, Marti
