The forever box will be setting sail on Aug 29th. Has everyone that is going to join signed up??

There will be some really nice things is this box.  I am going to try and keep it light. I know from experience that certain things can weigh them down, like books. They are heavy....

Rules are,  how ever many you take out, you replace with same amount. Please let the board know when you receive the box and what you take, not what you put in.  Hopefully items will be of equal value....

I am starting a new job on Sept 2nd and will not have time to babysit this box. We are mature adults, I should NOT have to keep asking where the heck the box it. Please try to get it mailed out as soon as possible to the next person on the list. Cross of the name and mail to next in line. This box is not going to be routed like before.  This box will be forever. It may hit you twice unless you tell me you only want it once.

We will probably have new people wanting to join the list and  I will have changes, so please, please if I email you the new list or send to you via private message, please print it out and put in the box before mailing.

If there are any questions please, please ask before the next box sets sail for parts unknown....

I don't want this to sound harsh, as this box is to have fun with, but we seem to have problems with keep track of them......do we need to put delivery confirmations on them? I think they cost like $.35....I'm open for suggestions......

Can I put my two cents in here.  I love the 'forever' box idea as long as everyone plays fair.  In the Secret Santa there was a $10 limit.  Perhaps we should have a minimum limit on the Forever Box.   I have no problem with a $10-15 limit on our box and perhaps fewer articles so as not to weight it down.  Re-gifting items accepted as long as they are nice.  No junk (Dollar Store) items need to be in the box.  Perhaps 2 items totalling $10-15 and take 2 out.  You can put four in to start and I'll send you the money to cover two of them.

I just got to thinking that we should be excited about getting it and have some responsibility and thought into sending it to the next person.

I think we ought to hash out the thoughts now so there will be no discussion later and the box will have a safe and happy journey as it travels around the US to our beloved Sistahs who want to play.

How about I limit the box to 6 (really nice) items.  There are not that many that have signed up so far and it might just come back to you again and again in it's travels.....would be nice to have good things to pick from.....

Understand, we are just discussing.....not cussing....:)

But if we have a $10-15 limit and put in six.... then we are not going to have as many nice things.  Just MHO.

But I'd like to hear from some other folks.  It would just be nice to get it all settled before it leaves for the Great Forever Box Tour.

A shout-out as to who wants to be in on the Forever Box would be nice.

I'll be second as Jan appears to have been the first on this thread!!

Here are just some suggestions for $$$ items:

Bath and Body Works always has great hand cream, bath wash, on a special for $5

Starbucks has gift cards, mugs, cups and saucers for half price.

Ross has great stuff in the housewares dept that are within the right price range

Linens & Things has great reasonably priced kitchen stuff... hand towels, gadgets, etc

Anymore ideas?

Hi, I've never done anything like this but would be honored to be a part of this. Do you want me email you directly with my address? I think it would be fun too if one of the items we repace is one specific to our state or area? Just a thought.

thanks,
Alice

Hi Darlene....I am pretty sure I signed up for this already. If not please add me to the list.
I am excited about this too.!!

I agree a few nicer things would be good. I will go with whatever you decide. I am for the delivery confirmations as well.

I think adding things of equal value would be a must!
