Good morning dear friends,

It seems like it's going to be another beautiful day in the neighborhood.  I slept in and feel pretty good today. When I got up DH was now where to be found and the car was gone, so I figured he went off somewhere maybe to get the newspaper. Lo and behold a few mins later he came home. He was at Kmart when they opened and bought the WII Fit, so we have been playing/training with it since he got home. We each spent about 45 mins doing the basic exercises.  If was fun. I did well at the Hula Hoop, yoga  and downhill skiing.  It gives you some interesting info on balance and my Wii fit age is 10 years younger than I am..whoo-hoo!  Hope this will help in the weight loss plan. I did walk  yesterday in the am and with my new ped meter got up to  7500 steps. Am working up to 10,000 per day.   The scale is still at 245 so it's not a dream!
Jen & the girls will be here soon, so I'm sure it'll be a WII Fit day!
Have a great Sunday everyone,Paulette

Can you just buy the Wii Fit by it's self or do you have to
buy the whole outfit?????

It's an add on to use with the WII console.  Have to buy the console.  However the console comes with Bowling, tennis, baseball, golf and boxing, which can work up a sweat too.  Paulette

Aloha Annette and all OFFers!

Annette......thanks for getting us started. I'm so hooked on the OFF that I really look forward to checking in every day. Lately, that's about all I have time to do, but today I'm home and don't even have to go to work tomorrow.....so I'm loving it! Laundry is working as we speak, and I've been able to chat online with my brother in Calif. and talk to my kids, too.

Yesterday at the hospital with "my babies" was a real challenge. I had a little guy who gave me nothing but problems. He was a VERY GOOD baby, it was ME who couldn't get him to pass the hearing test. I tried over and over, and then went to the more sophisticated test and he passed one ear but not the other....and THEN I messed up the computer and lost ALL the information!! I was in a panic and called my boss and she couldn't figure out what went wrong either. I left exhausted and ready for a nap.

Today, after laundry, I think I'll go for a drive around the island. It's a beautiful day and should be enjoyed in the great outdoors. I SHOULD go for a walk on the beach, but I won't....sigh. Tonight we are having a "girls' night out" at the local Beach Bum restaurant. They have sweet potato fries that are to die for. I will have a few of those and a salad.

I'm sitting here drinking a blended peach protein shake with an added banana and half a peach....yummy. I'm listening to the Olympics and watching the ocean activities out of the corner of my eye......I think they are having outrigger races to Molokai....the long boats with six or more paddlers.

I hope you all have a lovely Sunday and that you find peace and contentment today. Our bodies brought us together, and our spirits keep us together!!

Aloha nui loa,

Maui Karen

Today is my one year surgery anniversary.....hard to believe a whole year has flown by. I have lost 88 lbs altogether since beginning my WLS journey.....wi**** was more but I am very pleased with my progress. I feel wonderful and get many compliments about how I look...that sure helps give me support. I think I will take my rolator over to the fitness center where they have a walking track and start walking every single day.....it's free for senior citizens and it's easier than walking outside.
I have 55 lbs more to lose and need to really get moving
again with the basics. I do pretty well until evening, then I want to "graze"...I have my year checkup on the 29th and will see what they have to say about my progress then.

Went to early church and then out to my DS and DIL's church as their youth team was giving their report on their recent mission trip.....the kids all talked and it was great
to see what an experience it was for them.

Had the altar flowers at my church today, so after services I took one of the bouquets down to LaGrange, In. to my Mom's grave....her birthday would have been the 20th of this month....she passed away in October of 2005. Cleaned up around hers and my Dad's stones - man it was
warm out in the sun, but I was glad to do it and not sweat.
Came home and had lunch and took a nap....now I'm up
and hitting the water glass trying to catch up on not drinking much this morning.

Have a blessed day, all.....

I just came back from the gyn where I did 50 minutes on the recumbant bike for a distance of 18 miles.  Boy am I bushed, but I'm liking the results.  Lost 6 lbs last week.
