Morning!!! What's happening Thursday??

Aw shucks - Thank You!   I remeber what a food "puritan" I was in October at Dallas & even later when T & L were here.  Fact is, my tummy was so small & new that there was virtually no temptation to do otherwise.   Now is another story for sure.     What's happening with you?  Been a long time since I've heard much from you (maybe 'cause I hadn't been reading/posting much).  Last I heard there was a big party brewing for 2010.   Do you have AT&T cell?  I'd love to chat sometime.  HUGS

It's great to hear you solved your situation with the Walk From Obesity situation.  Whew....  good for you to stand up for yourself!  Hooray....  Very interesting about the MedGem Test you had. 

It's GREAT to see Jan S. back here with us posting!  Jan, your new photo is FABULOUS!  Way to go.....  you look wonderful.  So glad the checkup was a rousing success.

I'm just busy at work today.  Same as usual.  It's a true effort to motivate one co-worker to...... work!  Always takes alot of effort.  it shouldn't but it does.  Otherwise, I got nothing much new to share but to stop by and say hello......  I hope everyone has a great Thursday/.

morning susan and off family!!!!

well its storming in the area right now....yippeeee love the storm but i hurt to much to climb the steps to look outside!!!! i posted on a seperate post yesterday about the rash on my legs...its still there and still hot to the touch...i am going to try another ice pack on it and see what happens with them elevated today. i don't have to work the food court today but i do have a side job to clean a ladies bedroom for her. after that i am home to RELAX!!!!!!!

i am beat...i didn't know i was so out of shape lol i am getting in alot of bending, lifting, stretching and not to mention more walking!!! so i am hoping i get some toning up with all this working stuff!!! but the body is SORE ALL OVER!!!!!!! can't soak in the tub here because it doesn't work that way...sighs...but trust me next weekend when i have to go back to michigan...if i stay at a motel i am soaking in the hot tub!!!!!!!! if i stay at mom's i am soaking in her deep bathtub!!!!!! calgon where are you when i need you??? LOL

i think my car is ready for me to pick up...had a call last night while i was at work...they aren't open til 9 this morning so have to call them in a few and see whats up. all i know is i have to fill the tank on the rental car then fill my car up also and the price of gas went up to $3.75...grrrr figures huh...story of my life!!! good thing its payday tomorrow for us both!!!!

not much else is happening right now so i am off to shower before i call about my car. storm seems to have stopped for now but looks like more coming...might just take another nap i feel so tired...have a good day all!!! and remember to SMILE!!! MAKES PEOPLE WONDER WHAT YOU'VE BEEN UP TO!!!!

Good Morning Susan and everyone......

I am just poping in quick before I head to the hospital to be with Nic for the rest of his testing at Children's Hospital today and tomorrow.
Tomorrow is the rough day for him...lots of needles and such! We are still keeping up hope that this spot isn't Cancer again!!

Cheryl.....I hate misquitoes...can to drape a net oround your bed?? I would....to much West Nile Virus going around...that is scarey!!

Kathi....I love the Pure Protein Bars...they are my favorite by far!!
They come in soooo many yummy flavors now. The only one I don't care for is the Blueberry. That one is really sweet...at least to me. I thought it would be a nice change...won't buy them again.

Good Morning Susan....glad to hear you were able to "offload" some of your stress.....Jan...it is great to see  you again....you look great....you know of course that when we are the most at risk is when we are absent from one another!....we are addicitive personalities......we gain support from each other.....make us a priority....especially when  you are struggling.....who knows more than we do how difficult it is..I gain inspiration from everyone else....all the good and bad of our lives we can learn from.

My cleaning lady was here yesterday..Wed...and Mike fixed us a wonderful dinner....I think he secretly LOVES to cook for Gisela....she is a big strong German woman and she works hard and eats big....Plus Gisela and I take breaks together and chat......we have our coffee break with sweets and then we have our wine break and chat.....then we ate dinner in the LR while we watched the Olympics. She seldom goes home on Wednesdays before 10:00 pm. Needless to say she is a very important person in my life.

I almost got my 6 bottles of water in yesterday....but I am still working on that goal. My food intake was too much yesterday...but I did work out at the Health Club in the pool...Kathy S. is really helping to inspire me to work out and get back on track. I am sure not perfect, but at least I am thinking more about what I put in my mouth and what I do with my body. I do know that fall I had when I cracked my tailbone could have been lots worse without my working out for so long.

My girlfriend Sheila who has proven to me that you work through injuries and always make room for workouts in your day....won a Silver Medal in the World Duathalon Championships in Belgium last weekend. She raced for 4.5 HOURS...running, riding her bike and then running again.....she said it was tough as there were terrible rains and big winds. She is always an inspiration to me. She is 50 years old!!!!

Well I best get moving here as I just got a call from an old boyfriend [one my Mother loved more than me].....referring me to someone that wants to buy a FARMETTE!!!....oh well I sell anything in real estate....I will never forget the time I sold a Bar and just before the closing...I had to kick some hookers out of the upstairs unit before the new owners would close....how unreasonable!...LOL.

....and then I am going to go work out!!!!

Good Morning Susan and OFF!

Remember me?????? Life keeps getting in the way! Went to Lake Chelan for 3 days to "senior sit" a 91 yr old mom of my friend. Concie, my friend, has a new grand in Seattle and wanted to spend a few days helping and hugging. In front of and behind this trip I had my cousin and her husband from St. Louis. They just left for my daughter's in Chehalis yesterday and Mike is on a guy trip to the beach to go crabbing. (no I won't go there tho it's tempting!) So Maggie and I have the apartment to ourselves for a few days. Tiling of the bathrooms is taking place this week. I need to pick out 4 matching mini pendant lights for above the breakfast bar. So many choices. The ones I really like are too expensive since I need 4. Also would like ones that are energy efficient. Any suggestions?

Nothing much else. Will take me about 3 days to get laundry caught up in this tiny little apartment sized washer and dryer.

Hot here too. Over 100 the next few days after a few days of mid 90s. Our fair is next week. Hope it cools down a bit for that.

Jan, you look wonderful!! I too have been not doing what I need to do, but unlike you, it has shown on the scale. Today is back to basics. (Yet again!) I think I can, I think I can, I know I can!!

Thanks, Donna.  I'll bet you are really excited!   I remember so clearly what it was like to count down they days prior to surgery.   It's the begging of your new life for sure!
