Hi there! busy, busy here...too much running all over Illinois! Yesterday we went to DH's aunts funeral. And I didn't plan, breakfast was on the road, no lunch and finally dinner at his cousins, think family picnic food, food and more food, none healthy!! BIG OH NO!! I won;t give you the depressing details but when I did the daily plate this am it came up with only 13% protein, 50% carbs and 45% fat....back on track today!

B: decaf, Kashi & skim milk
L salad
D grilled steak & vegies

Paulette

I just added/had a protein shake as I am running on low batteries today!

Linda,

I'm feeling a little more cheerful today.  Visited another nursing home and liked it a lot better than yesterday's.  Then I went to talk to the administrator at Mom's assisted living facility and he said that he expects to become an official Medicaid provider within a week or two, so I might not have to move Mom to a nursing home after all.

B:  1 packet weight control oatmeal made w/ 2/3 c. skim milk, 1/2 banana, & 1 tsp PB2
S:  protein bar
L:  2 oz orange pork, 4 oz tomato-watermelon-cucumber salad, 1/4 c. brocamole
S:  1/2 c. LF cottage cheese w/ strawberries
D:  3 oz crab cilantro salad, 2 oz minted carrots
S:  4 oz SF pudding

Wow Jean! I am happy to hear something is going smoothly with mom. I think it will be better if she does not have to move!
Love your menu again, girl!

Good morning sister Linda. I pray that they thyroid tests turn out well. I sometimes think that is something that I am in need of testing also. I should check into that.

I am going to a diabetic class this evening at my pcp's office. I am still a diabetic but it under control with diet and exercise. I have to remember that. It can start going up if I don'****ch what I eat and what I do.

I bought 2 boxes of maple and brown sugar oatmeal the other day and today I found out it is NOT sugar free. I got mad. Bill said that he would eat it. If he doesn't I am sure that I can find someone to eat it. But my mouth was all set to eat it this morning and no such luck! Dang!

B: Special K with skim milk
L: ?
D: sausage and veggies (I didn't fix it yesterday~bad me!)
S: ?

I am not to organized today as you can tell. Maybe tomorrow is going to better. Or for that matter it could be worse! Hope not though!

I am sending love and big hugs to you and my special prayers are going up for you and yours.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Could you use SF maple syrup and the BROWN Sugar Twin to make your own?

Both are good substitutes for the real thing and just a touch goes a long way for flavor.
