post menopause question
spotting can be caused by many things but if it continues you should check it out with your GYN doc. sometimes it can be other reasons causing it.
i had a hysterectomy this past year because of ongoing issues that were there before and after my surgery, your cant assume its just from your weight loss surgery.
be proactive and take care of yourself please

I have not had the surgery yet, but after being in menapause for exactly 2 years, I began spotting again. This happened also 1 year back from that time also. Strange huh? Anyway I have small fibroids that cause this, both times had to have a D&C to get rid of the problem. Am keeping my fingers crossed this will be it! In all my research I have done on this RNY surgery, I have never read anything about this problem. An ultra sound will show if it is a fibroid issue. I am now 57. Good luck.

Hi, I'm pre-op and started on the post-op food plan on my own this spring. I was indeed suprised with my period this spring, first in 5 years. I had all the symptoms the week before but I guess I ignored them cuz it had been so long. Been ok since, lost 25# so far and anxiously awaiting my turn in the op room. I've read here tho that it is not uncommon to get your period after losing wt.
Safety first tho, have it checked out.
Best to you,
Alice
