Hey Everyone

I hope your weekend was as great as mine...the weather was to die for  But most of the weekend I was working on getting ready to meet a couple of OH Goals I set for myself.  Getting back to the basics and back to working out more.

There is no magic pill, no magic combo of foods and or lose 50 inches in 50 mins gimmic.  We are just going to get back to the basics and the rules we know and "LOVE"

Here is what I am doing:

Not drinking 30 mins before and after a meal
Water, Water, Water
Protein first, Protein first, Protein first
I am eating every 3 hours and again protein first for me, that way I won't be hungry
Journal, Journal, Journal
Make time for me
Exercise, exercise, exercise

Also, don't forget your supps!

Go to your profile page and hit goals and set what you want for your goal to be by the end of the month.  I am not going to set myself up to fail by trying to meet a number  I know if I eat the right things and exercise the clothes will tell the tell and I will feel so much better

So my friends are you with me?  Come on and let's just do it for the rest of the month.  You know it works, we all have done it and lose tons of weight and felt sooooo good about ourselves.  We can do it together

Did You Move To Lose and or Maintain Today?  Come on in and let's get our goals started.  Rocky and I walked this morning and I am going to the Y tonight after work and do some weights and cardio!

Stay Strong, Sassy and Sexy

Take care,
Kathy

Thanks for doing this Kathy.....I am doing it with you. I have gotten careless and picked up some pounds and it is time to stop it now!

I am journaling...now...I wasn't before you mentioned it. I am cutting out those bad carbs that have slipped in and gotten back to exercise. I did the walking in the pool today! I weighed myself and was appalled. I am not going to weigh myself again until next Monday....and I plan to work out each day.

Thanks so much for the encouragement...I know you are right and this is the answer...get with the program!
Hugs, Marti

Hugs back at you Marti...  You and I together.  I am trying to take it one thing at a time to get back to where I was when I was losing weight and feeling so GREAT

Like drinking all my water first and eating protein first.  And drinking during meals

We can keep each other accountable....and put these in your goals on your profile page so we can keep track of each others successes....

Take care,
Kathy

I listed my goals and I am so happy you have started this, especially in the summer when I am motivated to eat healthy as there is so many fresh vegetables around...

I have my husband doing it with us. After I was reminded by you I ate some protein mid-afternoon and then we are going to have grilled Salmon. I just read an article that says "Eating oily fish once a week may reduce age-related Macular degeneration."

Their findings show that people who habitually consume oily fish at least once a week compared with less than once a week are 50% less likely to have wet AMD...which is the major cause of blindness and poor vision in adults in western countries. [American Journal of Nutrition]

There as no benefit from consumption of NON oily fish.

Good enough for me....I will be eating oily fish at least once a week...my husband also. I think I will make it one of my goals.
Hugs, Marti

I'm not sure what this smiley face (?) is pointing at but I will say it is my list of to do's. Count me in as one of you who needs to be accountable and get back on track.  I have gotten careless with my exercise and eating habits...  now I have 4 # to lose again.    Where do you post your goals and what you are doing?  How do you keep accountable to each other?    Millie
