My Motivation Jeans
Today I went shopping for a pair of size 10 jeans to help motivate me through my last few pounds of weight loss. I thought the desire to fit into smaller jeans would help keep me going. Imagine my surprise when the size 10 jeans I tried on FIT ALREADY! I know I should have bought a pair of size 8's for motivation instead, but fitting into them would require another 10-15 lb weight loss, which would be too much (too much weight loss? huh? is that possible?). And given a choice between instant gratification and delayed gratification, I will take instant gratification any day, so I bought them. Here is a really lousy photo, taken with light reflecting off a very old, distorted mirror. But you get the general idea:
The last time I was a size 10 was 28 years ago, when I was a 27 yr-old new divorcee with nothing but a container of yogurt and a bottle of wine in her refrigerator.
I'm not just bragging about me. I was a size 24 at my heaviest (at 5'2"). If I can do this, SO CAN YOU! So do it!
