New Surgeon

Originally, I had an appointment for my first consultation with Dr. Takahashi for 9/26.  I was told to call the office to see if they could reschedule it if there are any cancellations.  I called 3 times before the clerk had time to talk to me.  Today, I called and she said Dr. Takahashi had no cancellations, however a new surgeon was being added to their staff, Dr. Houman Solomon, and he is starting with them on 8/18.  So, I agreed to talk to him on 8/25 for my first consultation.  He seems quite young but has pretty good credentials so it will be interesting.   He is currently working at the closest hospital to my residence, but next week will be changing to a hospital about 20 miles away.  Too bad I can't have my surgery at the local hospital.  Oh well.  We'll see what he is like.

Credentials are good, but so is experience, I would not want anyone operating on me who has done less than 1,000 of these procedures, but that is one person's opinion. . .

Good Luck on you consult!

Hi ......I agree I would want to know more about his background. How many of these procedures has he actually done. How many people has he lost??

Good luck....connie d
