Good Morning Eileen.....nice surprise to see you this AM. I hope you can keep the pain at bay today. It is hard to be productive when you hurt all over!

Aime....I am so glad to hear that N is doing so well. What an answer to prayers that is! Sounds like LP is growing and changing everyday. Teething is no fun the poor little guy. Bet he looks cute with those teeth popping through!! I have asthma problems too. I have a nebulizer and do treatments when I need them. That is a great help. Hope you are getting some relief soon.

Kathi.....auditors..UGH!! Hope that all goes well for you today.

Julia...cleaning the kitchen is quite a job but it sure feels great when it is all done. I just did mine not long ago. Got rid of old spices and things I no longer use.  The school year is almost ready to start...hope you are ready for those first few days!!

Brenda......Have a great time on your trip. Make your list and be on your way!! The temps here haven't been bad. 80s but the humidity hasn't been as awful as you are getting it.

Margo....prayers and gentle hugs to you!!

Annette.....(((((HUGS))) and have a good day!!

Nothing new happening here. I went out for a glass of wine last night with a friend. Just needed to get out. Sad over our friends death.

Today is a quieter day ....I hope....yesterday was awful again....soooo busy!!! Only a few calls to make and I have my work week completed...YAY!!!!

Then county fair is in town so I will head over there and look around sometime this weekend. My friend's band is playing so I will have to go harrass them alittle bit!

My cleaning fairy will be hear soon....glad to have her coming. I didn't have her last week she was sick....ugh...dust!!

Have a greally nice day everyone.....catch up with you all later.

Love, hugs and prayers to all......connie d

Hi Connie:

I know what you mean about the "cleaning fairy" ... mine was here last night when I was at work and everything smelled like pinesol when I got home. Except that she left the toilet seat up again! The last time she did that, I found Diva drinking out the bowl ... yuck! I asked Patty (cleaning lady) to please remember to put down the lid so Diva couldn't get there ... I really expect one day to find Diva in the toilet trying to get out one day when I get home from work! Otherwise, Patty does a good job ... she just forgets that one little thing.

Sorry to hear about your friend ... you have lost a few lately. Hope Nic is doing OK.

Eileen.....Thanks for the good thoughts. My friend's death has taken me for a loop but I am getting through it fine.
Nic is having Chemo this week and I wish I could be in Iowa with him. He will be here in MN next week for tests to see if the spot on his lung is cancer. I appreciate any prayers you can send his way!
My cleaning service requires that I be here when Julie is here. They don't want their clients alone even thought they are bonded. Sometimes if I have meetings I have to have my sister here. What a pain in the butt.....not my sister...the fact that they can't be alone.
Hope you are feeling better now.
Hugs, connie d

My cleaning lady is independent ... which is why she's so cheap. Found her when I was going to have my knee surgery and decided to keep her. But when she cleans, the cleaning stuff and the vacuum irritates my allergies. So it's better for me to be out of the house when she's doing it. When I'm on vacation or out of town, she likes to bring her girls over to play with the cats. So in a way, I have a cat sitter too ... for free.

Eileen....I know what you mean about the allergies. I have a hard time when she is here too. I also have asthma and am allergic to dust. I feel awful until the next day. Wish I didn't have to be here either!

Good morning Eileen and all, It was nice talking to you yesterday, Eileen. I'll be emailing you directions for brunch on Monday shortly.

We have the grands this afternoon, time is getting short before school starts. Today they want Nana to take them on a bike ride, the weather is cooperating so ok for that.  Then they want to give skeeter a bath. He doesn't mind but don't know who will get wetter.  Then they want me to make them new princess dresses, that will take more than an afternoon. I have 4 dresses of Jen's,  2 from weddings she stood up in and 2 from Proms that I need to take apart and will use the fabric to make them something pretty. They like to help. Also need to help Samantha learn to spell & write her name.  She insists it is Sami, not Samantha. Of course school requires she can write & spell Samantha. She is 4 but oh so stubborn!!!

Hope you all have a great day, Hugs, Paulette

Thanks Marti, I have one daughter and we used to have so much fun when she was little until I had to go to work, when she was 10. Now she has to work(but from home)  and has 2 little girls(4&6), that I get the opportunity to play with and do all the things Jen & I used to do. tea parties, dress up etc, and with losing weight it is getting easier. They are funny when we go to the park and I go on the swings  with them, (Nana you're doing it!! LOL) but they are pushing me to go down the slide, not yet!! too scary, afraid I won't fit or I' ll get up there and the knees & back won't cooperate to sit down.  maybe next summer!!  Hugs, Paulette

My daughter calls me the "Popper" Nana....she says I "Pop" in for baby kisses and snuggles with my cappachino in hand [my 18 month old learned "hot" from my cappchino on the coffee table] I visit with my daughter [sometimes recharge my I-Pod] and then I am off again. I "popped in this morning and visited with my daughter in the backyard while the boys played in the pool and swing set. I also watched the boys for awhile when she needed to go in the house and return some messages [she works out of home also]...it isd always good to sit and chat with Kathleen...I think she is very interesting. My sweet little GAvin [5 years old] is going to his British Grandma's house for four days this weekend. She is a Grandma like you, she plays and reads and sings...she is a wonderful person, just like you. I know she is so happy to be having him with her for a five days....all alone. She just returned from England where her Mother had just died after a short illness and she need to close up her home etc. She was gone two months and missed the USA [and home] dreadfully.....we also missed her over the 4th of July, she is delightful and funny.

Hugs, Marti

Good Morning Eileen and Friends,

I'm feeling better than I did last week. Nothing physically wrong just felt a bit down. Gave myself a good talking to, got outside for some sunshine to relieve my summer "cabin" fever and feel better.

My cousin Pat arrives today from St. Louis via Seattle for a couple of days. Not long enough but I'll take what I can. I'm overdue to go see her. Erin and I are thinking about doing a "birthday" run next March. The twins will still fly free. Pat's daughter Becky's birthday is March 17th one year ahead of Erin's March 16. And the twins will be 1 one March 16, 2009 and I will by 60 on March 7th. Sounds like reason enough for a road trip doesn't it?

I've cleaned this little apartment, bought enough food for 10 people for a week (!!) Old habits die hard. Made a breakfast casserole for tomorrow morning, marinated a london broil for tomorrow night and made a lemon dessert for dinner at my brother and sis in law's tonight.

I tried making my favorite lemon dessert recipe sugar free. Bought the sugar free instant lemon, lowfat cream cheese. The only problem I had and didn't know what to do with was the powdered sugar that is mixed with the cream cheese. I was afraid to try Splenda in that layer.  Anyone ever give that a try?

Gotta run. Mike's calling from downstairs and needs help hauling pop and ice up.  Have a good one everyone.
