Finally found this Forum

Hi everyone . . . I finally found this forum - thanks to Jean. I am mostly on the Lap-Band forum, but since I am older (much older) than 50, it would be nice to get to know you. I had my surgery last March, and I am doing good with my weight loss, etc. Would love to hear from you.

Thank you Paulette. I used to have a "boss" named Paulette, she was about 20 years younger than me. Beautiful girl. Don't hear the name Paulette anymore. There was a movie star named Paulette Goddard - remember her? I wonder if she is still alive?

LOL! That is where my mom picked my name from.  The criteria was first name had to start with "P" , my maternal grandmother was Pearl, which is also my mom's middle name. There already was a Pauline in our family so she picked Paulette after the movie star.  My middle name had to start with "I" as the other grandma was Ida,  my middle name is Ione, picked after "Exercise with  Ione" a program in the 1950"S.  I hated my name when I was younger, I used Paula in High School,  but after I turned 30 I liked it as it was unique.   I have since met  5 other Paulette's over the last 20 years all in my age group.   Is McKenna your first name? my cousin named her baby girl McKenna. I thought it is so pretty.  Paulette

I had my surgery last October at the age of 53. I have one more pound to go until I reach 100 lost. I feel like a brand new and improved person! Isn't life amazing? It just keeps getting better and better.

Hi Brenda, First let me congratulate you on your tremendous weight loss. I hope I have 100 off by my anniversay date. Actually, I only need to lose about 30-40 more lbs. I have already lost abou 43 lbs. So I am half way there. I will be happy to have it all off by Feb though. Lets keep in touch. McKenna

McKenna, How big is Caldwell?  We have another lady on the Over Fifty Forum from Caldwell. Her name is Diana.  I haven't seen her post lately but she gets real busy with her work from home position, but she pops in from time to time.
