What's New Wednesday!!
I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

BTW, I've been wearing some of the tops from you, thanks very much!! and the pink robe is waiting for cold winter nights.
Nothing big happeing here this morning. Just sitting and watching the View (I do love that show~but the favorite part is the talking in the beginning) and it seems like Bill likes it too but I am sure that he doesn't like it as much as I do. lol
I have an appointment with urologist this afternoon. Just a follow up on the meds that I am taking for the kidney disease. So far so good as that is concerned. We shall see what he says about everything. I just hope that he doesn't want more blood tests taken. I am so tired of getting poked. lol
I have a crock pot full of split pea soup that I put on yesterday. I made it with come spices and onion and carrots and it smells so good. But the only problem is that I think I put to much water in it and so it is thin. Bill and I both like it a bit thicker and so I am at a stand still there. Does anyone know how to make it thicker? If you can help me I would really appreciate it.
I guess I had better get going. I am sending love and hugs to everyone. I am hoping that your day goes well and remember to be happy where you are at this moment. Prayers are being said for everyone with special ones going up for those in need of them.

Good Morning Marti and Friends,
Just when I think I'm getting a "grip" life gets complicated. I never want to miss anything and I try to plan things accordingly and then life gets in the way. . . . Tiny new born life to be exact. Long story short: Promised my friend at Lake Chelan that another friend and I would come up and spend a week with her 91 yr old mom while Concie(friend) spends a week with her daughter in Seattle helping with newborn daughter Sadie and 6yr old big brother Hank! Well, Sadie is breech and arriving via c-section TODAY instead of next week as my plans were outlined! Babies!! They will arrive when they are ready won't they?
Anyway, my cousin and her husband arrive tomorrow from St. Louis via Seattle for two days, then head to Moscow to see their son for 3 days, then back here on Tuesday for one more night before heading back to Seattle area. So how do I fit all of this in? Looks like I'll head to Chelan on Saturday, stay til Tuesday morning and then back here. Other friend will go up tomorrow when Concie leaves . . .
Darn, the best laid plans. We had planned to share gas expense, now we'll both be driving! Plus, Miss Maggie has started her first heat cycle since having puppies in March and she is "PMS ing" big time. She's irritable, antsy, and wants to snuggle. . . . What else, my weight is climbing, I haven't been eating right, I have to weigh in at TOPS today for the first time in 3 weeks and it won't be good. Other than that, everything is just hunky dorey!
Gotta head out the door. Wishing you all a calmer day than mine is starting out!

Well, here I am, bringing up the rear again ... although maybe someone will be behind me. The office was busy at work last night because it was election night ... known as which Republican will be elected night. West Michigan is a Republican bastion, and the primary basically fixes the Nov. election. So there were a lot of people in. They usually order pizzas ... maybe they did after I left. I had my work done by 9:30 ... but I putzed around for a while longer so I didn't leave quite so early and get my boss mad at me, so I left after 10:30. I looked through the College Guide for one last time, made a couple more fixes on pages, nothing big ... my coworker Kim, who's working days this week, will ship the pages off this morning.
Got home thinking the Sox game was going to be a big dud because they were losing to the Tigers big time when I was at work (and all my coworkers were cheering, of course). Well, the Sox were trailing only 6-5 at that point in the 7th when I got home. Then Alexei Ramirez hit a homer in the eighth to tie it (got to see that) and sent it into extra innings ... the 14th. The Tigers went up in the top, I thought that was it, but no way ... the Sox won it in the bottom half. It was an exciting game ... and then I switched on the Twins-Mariners game and the Mariners won, so the Sox are back in first ... I went to bed happy. My knee hurt like hell ... and I do mean it really hurt last night ... I wish there was something I could take at work to ease the pain, but there isn't. I just have to suffer.
I took a steak out of the freezer Saturday wanting to cook it Sunday and haven't made it yet, so it's steak for lunch today. It's marinating now. Got to grill or it's in the garbage.
Pat, sorry about your gout, I hope that resolves soon ... I understand about pain, that's for sure. Susan, hope you're out of pain too from the kidney stone ... never had those. Marti, hope the tailbone feels better ... the pool might help, it always helped my back. Paulette, I need to call you!
