What's New Wednesday!!
Good Morning...I sure wish I would stop waking up at 4:00 am, but at least that is better than 3:00am.
I had a busy day yesterday, but I ran into a girlfriend at the office yesterday afternoon and she said "oh, I miss you let's get together soon"...I said "good idea, want to come over for drinks tonight?" and she said "Love too" and that started it.....I had to go to Office Depot to pick up some things...and thought I will just stop here at the grocery and get some cheese, but I walked into the store..unfortunately hungry...saw some beautiful corn on the cob ...and decided I felt like cooking dinner, so I picked up a couple of pork loins, sweet potatoes, Italian bread and salad stuff...and oh yeah some cheese and $83.91 later I was off.....when will I learn not to shop hungry.
So I called a few other girlfriends and they were happy to let me feed them also. So, it was a lovely evening weather wise so we sat around on the patio and drank wine and slowly went through the meal....it took us three hours.....but it was lots of fun as usual.
Mike marinated the pork loin [and grilled it] and I made the rest. A bunch of appetizers....and oh yeah..the corn on the cob.
My girlfriend Sheila brought her 2 Malamute dogs [with my permission] one is a year and one is 3 months....they are so cute and funny. Our neighbor girl likes to come and play with them....her Mom who loves my husband and loves to talk sports with him...she used to be a high school coach...came over and made him a couple of her famous Brandy Old Fashioneds [and a some for my girlfriends that had them before] and they sat inside and talked sports and watched a baseball game.
Sheila is from Ireland and still runs on the Irish Team and is leaving tomorrow for the World Duathalon Championships. She is a natural athlete, which is good because she is not very good at the "training table"....too much wine.
Got a busy day ahead and I have to take a class on Contracts at 1:30-3:30 so that will be interesting. I think I should have been an attorney as I really like the language of contracts.
I think I will go and get some coffee and then take this old cracked tailbone to the Club and walk in the pool for an hour maybe that will be like icing it.
Have a great day.
Hugs, Marti

I certainly hope that things get better so you can still come on Saturday. I am so looking forward to meeting you and I know that Floyd is too.
Please take care of yourself. Do what you need to do so you can get back to being our old Pat! We don't like it when you aren't feeling well.
Gout is a form of arthritis -- in fact, it's called gouty arthritis and affects the joints. Mine is in the right ankle.
It strikes different places.....last year about a week or so after my surgery, I got it in the joint of my right hand just below the index finger and also the next finger.....my hand was swollen up like a baseball mitt.....and painful, OMG, I cried it hurt so bad. It was months before I had full use of my index finger.
I'll be over on Saturday, come hell or high water!!!! I went to work yesterday and today....makes it swell up a little, but as soon as I get home, I prop it up on a pillow and relax in my recliner.....that helps. I'll PM you on Friday about when to come over.....maybe we can meet in downtown Middlebury, .....or not! Maybe just there at the
KOA.....it's supposed to be really nice weather on Saturday.
The funny (well not so funny) thing about this gout is that I take allopurinal to keep from getting it.....ha, lot of good
it does, huh. I am going to take the gout med for one more day, then get back on my water pill....will spend a lot of time in the bathroom, no doubt!
I sent you a msg about your split pea soup....check it out.

hang in---and know you're being hugged!
edit: just read your gout explanation...maybe that's my prob since it's mainly in my (broke***** ) ankle....

My world....You can relate.......
Major player in the title world shut their doors last week...... I had people who had already had their money deposited and we couldn't close and fund. Yep. And one of the buyer's agents gave one of them a key and they moved in. Truly a mess. I had seven that couldn't close. As soon as the Department of Insurance releases the funds, perhaps we can get some of this straightened out. My stress level runs high or low, depending on how you look at it.
Yesterday had be sweating..... REALLY SWEATING.... I never perspire....never....but you could have wrung me out like a dishrag. Worked until 9:30 p.m. and then went braindead.
I don't know where you gals get the time time to go to a pool. I'm up at 5 a.m. and home by 10 .p.m. A girl's got to sleep somewhere in there.
Yes, lunch when you come to Dallas. Just tell me when. We'll go back to that great little cafe where the food is so good. It's so very close to my office!!
Janet
Oh WOW Janet.....what a mess....I just don't know how companies can do that to people's lives.
I get so wrapped up with all of my clients that I would be a mess also. [but I am old enough to know not to give someone a key before closing]....I am just like Yogi Bera "It ain't over till it's over"..and it ain't over until you pay the money and get the key.
These things are such dominoe effects with so many lives...no wonder you were a mess. They are so lucky you are such a pro and so calm to deal with this.
