Hi Evelyn and Everyone!

Got an early start today.  I was pretty tired last night so went to bed early.  Had a very nice birthday and thank you all for the good thoughts and well wishes.  They had a "smoothie" party at work because they all wanted to support my infamous protein shakes they see me making at work.  The brought in a blender and all the fixings and I made a protein shake for myself with my shaker cup and we all had a grand time.  Spent the evening with friends and hubby and reflected a little on the years gone past.

Today is another busy day in the office.  I think I might be seeing light at the end of the tunnel in the world of catching up from my absence for surgery.  That's about all that's going on for me.  I hope today isn't quite as humid as yesterday was.  Annette - I wish I could bottle up some of our warmth and send it you way.

Yesterday was a complete zero for me. I spent almost the entire day in my recliner with my foot propped up. I had gone to Book Club Sunday nite feeling fine, but in the nite my right foot and ankle started hurting. When I did
get up yesterday morning it was completely swollen and I couldn't even put weight on it....GOUT! again! I managed to get cleaned up a bit and dressed and made some breakfast, but most of the rest of the day I was in the chair.....the pain was terrible, finally ended up taking a couple tynelol extra strength arthritis and that helped some along with the gout medicine. It's much better this morning but still a little swollen, but not so much that I can't get on a pair of my little canvas shoes. So after the kid comes for his piano lesson at 9 a.m., I am going to work for 2 or 3 hours....will see how it goes. Here this happens after I was bragging that I hadn't had gout in almost a year, and now have had two episodes in two weeks.....duh!

Nothing much else to report....

I got up at my usual time today so am able to stop in for a few and then walk my treadmill...
Not much new here, am getting excited to take our little vacation in a couple of weeks, haven't had a real one in 6 years or so...

Evelyn, my daughter starts her 2nd year at college and I hope she doesn't go over 4 or 5 years! Good luck  at your task in getting workers!

Marti, your poor tailbone, hope it gets to healing. Your trip sounds so fun!

Annette, I am so sorry you are cold, I hate the cold. Our summer has not been as hot as usual and the first summer I can stand the heat, it ain't hot! Your support group sounds great. I wish we had one like that here. I don't go to mine as a couple of ladies have kinda "taken over" and it is not very pleasant or fun or anything helpful. I just sit there clenching my jaw vowing not to come back...so now I don't. Wish you were closer, I'd pop into yours!

Susan, I am very impressed that you are taking on this event and planning it. I can't even imagine doing something like that.

Margo, hope your boss decides to keep your hours! I'll be thinking of you!

good??? morning OFF family....

well we woke this morning to find the crack-head here...we looked at each other and sighed...hide the meds!!!!!!! even tho she isn't allowed down here in our place whats to stop her if i leave here????? passed ricks mom on way home from taking rick to work..she stopped and told me she is only here temporary...yeah long enough to do the damages and leave??? i did notice she has a tether on her leg so i guess thats good??? i do not care for this woman at all....i try to come in the house (she is sitting outside smoking) and she gets up and starts talking to me...bandit doesn't like her either and tried to go after her!!! omg (lol good boy!!!also ginger, rick's moms dog doesn't like her either so what does that tell you?? lol) well anyhow she starts to show me her wrists...they have been cut...she tries to tell me her "husband" did that to her...and she also said he was sleeping around on her with many women...yeah right like she wasn't doing anything wrong herself???????? its early and i am not up to pity parties with her!!!! all i know is she has to find a lawyer before court wednesday morning....ok enough about her...sorry for venting!

yesterday i couldn't talk to my lawyer she had a death in the family so i am waiting for her call today...i did find out that there is yet another letter i will be getting from garys lawyer...just great....will this divorce ever get over with????

had to go back to the place rick was doing the deck sunday so he could do some clean up there that the stain got on and shouldn't be...what a mess that is...glad it was him that did it and not me....but while he was doing that i went over to bob's and the gang was all there so i stayed and visited with them all...we ended up staying there til just after 10...i love it there!! wish we could get that trailer thats for sale so we could be there all the time!!!! (need divorce final first before we buy anything!!)

my sister had her kidney stents changes yeasterday...no word from anyone on that...i told her mom had my cell number and she could call me to let me know but did she call??? noooooo so you see why should i miss being home with family??? its always ME that has to call them....gets tired after awhile ya know....

i see we are in the red for today and some storms could be severe...bring it on!!!!!! LOL but right now its just dull and a few sprinkles here and there...would have liked to crawl back in bed but the tethered woman is walking around up and down and in and out...no chance of any extra sleep here...sighs

i go back to work tomorrow morning start at 8:15 til 1:15 i actually get to go behind the counter this time...woohooo finally be doing my job!!!! well observing anyhow so i can see how things are done there. looking forward to it!!!

had a philly steak and cheese sub with green peppers and onion on it for supper last night...was really good but so much meat on it i had about 3 bites and that made me full to the brim....when we got home after 10 last night i ate 3 more bites...i still have alot more for today for lunch to eat...lol but it was good!!!

got the letter for the rental truck damage notorized and mailed out so i will be expecting the check soon on that...yippeee $200.00 for that...i also found out i had more money in bank than i showed in my check book so i have the money coming to me also this week from back home...another $300.00!! so $500.00 coming soon and thats for moving i hope to our "own" place!!! tired of this "refuge" here if ya know what i mean...or should i call it a half way house??? I WANT OUT OF HERE SOON DAMIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  ok sorry for venting again....

well i need to go to the store but think i will wait til jerry gets home or diane so "she" isn't here alone and into our things down here....i am sorry i do not trust this woman at all!!!!!!!

oh!!!!! i might be going to the zoo this weekend if it is nice!! i hear the cleveland zoo is cool and i am looking forward to going!!! been years since i have been to the zoo!!

oh lord she came down here to "talk" to me...good grief...i really don't want to hear about her life and all the lies....now she is telling me that she cut her wrists not him...i believe that she did it all along...how could he cut them?????? give me a break...just want to be left alone down here...sighs....bandit laid between her and me...good boy!!! he wouldn't let her near me...lol good boy bandit!!!!!

ok i am going to shut up now...enough of my life for now....

Judy, why would you want to pay to go to the zoo when it sounds like you live in one?

Our heat index will be 106 to 109 today.  It really irritates me when folks say "hot enough for ya?"  No actually I LOVE frying on the way into the store!

My DH decided today would be a great day to go get the oil changed and the tires balanced and rotated.  I know the tires needed it, but the oil wasn't due to be done for another 600 miles, and I was gonna wait and get it all done at once.  He doesn't drive, soooo, off we went with me at the wheel.  Luckily we did it at 8 AM, so it was only 84 out there.  (It was 75 when I went to the gym this AM.)  Of course on the way home he thought of something we needed at Walmart - so $80 at the oil place and $60 at Walmart (all we needed were apples!!!), and the Hess station had soda on sale so we had to stop there and another $20 gone (HUGE pool party at DIL's on the 16th, so it'll be gone in a flash).  I should not let that man out of the house!  And now I need another shower!

WLS support group meets tonight at 6PM.  Luckily the restaurant has a good AC unit!
