Good morning, Linda.  I do appreciate your prayers.  I frequently remind myself that being elderly is harder on Mom than it is on me.

I woke up starving in the middle of the night last night and couldn't get back to sleep, so I ate a protein bar and got back in bed.  Stupid, stupid, stupid.  Food in the pouch + a horizontal position = instant reflux.  Uggh!

B:  1 packet weight control oatmeal w/ 2/3 c. skim milk, 1/2 banana, & 1 tsp PB2
S:  1/2 c. chocolate cottage cheese pudding
L:  3 oz coriander chicken salad, 1/3 c. green beans
S:  1/2 c. LF cottage cheese w/ strawberries
D:  3 oz Chinese BBQ tofu, 1/3 c. broccoli
S:  4 oz SF pudding

Hi Linda,
Well I broke my computer and I'm sneaking in from work.  I have not been doing well - emotional eating.  I think I have a handle on it now. Hubby is in a lot of pain.  He had to come off the anti-inflammatories to prepare for surgery (knee replacement) coming up on the 12th.  The pain killers aren't helping much without taking so many he can't function.  He is still working but finding he has to come home mid-day.
B - Pure Protein Bar, 4 oz. applesauce
L - Smart Ones Chicken somethin'
S - Yogurt with Blueberries
D - Left over Chicken with Cashew Nuts from Chinese Take-Out.
S - 1% milk with Chai mix.
Keep cool.  I will try to be grateful for all I have too.

Hi all, happy Tuesday!

Jean, I hope you were able to get back to sleep comfortably.  My Sissy gets up in the night and eats all the time, and she is researching this band.  Unfortunately she sleeps in her recliner because of her many other issues, so the night time eating won't be a problem for her.  She'll have to stop that!!

B - protein water with exercise, poached egg for breakfast  L - tuna  S - cottage cheese and fruit D - RIBS!!!! and probably some of their brewski onions and maybe some of their soup (either potato or broccolli cheese), I'm goin crazy tonight!  We'll sit and nibble and visit for 2 hours!

I generally eat VERY lite at night, so I guess I'll stay up til 10 or 11 reading let it all settle good.  I'll be draggin' butt tomorrow at the gym (I get there at 5 AM).

Have a good one everybody!  You have all heard the saying "If you can't stand the heat stay out of the kitchen"  Well today it's  "If you can't stand the heat stay out of NC"  Our heat index will be 106-109 today!
