it's Saturday-what's new?
Hi Margo and everyone:
Must be something in the air with the pain things going around. When I got into work, there was an e-mail from my brother; his back (his problems are in his neck and shoulder) was hurting so badly he considered going to the ER. He wound up canceling his trip to the Iowa picnic with mom it was so bad. He had his yearly physical yesterday and got the doc to give him something for the pain. Doc referred him to a ortho doc to look at it. The way Gary was describing it, sounds like he's got a herniated disc up there or something ... got tingling in his arm (happens to me sometimes with my left leg and toes when that sciatic nerve gets inflamed).
Deb, sounds like the best treatment for that tooth is to get it pulled ... the root canal isn't working for you. I wish I had gone that route in the first place too, but you don't know that right away. It's too bad you have to go through all that pain and then have to lose the tooth anyway.
I'm still ticked off royally at my ortho doc and his office staff. I just know they won't find anything on the bone scan and he'll think I'm a crazy woman. This is getting me so depressed.
Well, I have to work today, so I should get showered and make some lunch. Extra money on the horizon! That's good. I'll try to post the recipes if I have time tonight while I'm at work (the chocolate zucchini bread that I promised Pat and maybe the blueberry muffins I made that Paulette liked too).
I had thought about making a chocolate zucchini cake to take into work tonight (this is definitely not diet friendly but very good) but I'm not in the mood to stand in the kitchen and bake. So maybe I'll make it on Friday and bring it into work then.
Have a good day. Maybe I'll check in later tonight when work gets slow.

Eileen,
Don't give up and don't give in until you find a doctor who will discover the source of your pain.
My brother has had both shoulders replaced. The first one was a success. Then second one gave him grief from the beginning. He kept telling the Otho's he was in terrible pain. They ran all sorts of tests and found nothing. He is not a whiner like me and can tolerate a whole bunch of pain..
For almost 2 years he has gone from one specialist to another. Finally they found the source of his problem. They forgot to correctly connect a tendon during the first surgery.
So many specialist have completed the same tests and found nothing.
Kind of strange?
He had corrective surgery and feels like a new man.
Keep the faith that you will eventually get some answers and relief.

Hi All,
In regards to the root canal- let me just tell you what happened to me... I was having the root canal and the tooth was not getting better- I was in agony and told the dentist "Pull the damn thing!" He did and after the novacaine wore off the pain was still there! The root canal was being done on the wrong tooth. So I ended up with another root canal AND a bridge that has bugged me forever!
We are going to a concert tonight at a winery... Boz Skaggs and Chris Isaak. I can't wait! We are buying those little short lawn chairs and are sitting on the lawn. ME in a little, short lawn chair!!!! Who could imagine I could do that!? I'll make sure to take extra clothes and an afghan to cuddle in if it gets chilly. In fact I'm going to throw an afghan into the wash right now!
Daughter Laura and I are going to start reducing cabinets (full clean out and throw out) as soon as she gets home from work today. We are also packing boxes for her to take on her move to her new condo (we are thinking positively- it will happen very soon).
Hope you are all enjoying your day!
Julia

Julia, I actually sat on a blanket on the GROUND last summer at a concert. . . . I couldn't keep the smile off my face. Never mind that it's hard to get up as I've had both knees replaced. But, it was worth it to just be able to sit comfortably. Enjoy my friend. I love those little beach chairs at the beach!

Hello Margo.....just a quick fly by for me today.
I got up at 6:00AM and and hour later was headed back down to Minneapolis with a girlfriend for a MN Board coffee group. One of the gals from the MN board is marrying a man from the Alabama board. They both had WLS of course. They are an awesome couple. He was up here for a few days and we all wanted to get together again. I am going down to Alabama to their wedding in September with a bunch of other MN OH ladies. That will be awesome!!
Now I am tired and need a little nap. Too much sun and heat today!
It sounds like things are okay with everyone here....that is good. That is except the toothache problem Debbie is having.........UGH!!!
I am hoping to get back on here tomorrow and get my life back in order.
Prayers as always to all.
Love and hugs.......connie d
