I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Hello Margo and OFF'ers! Notice I didn't say good morning? Yep, same tooth, same pain will it ever end? If this is still like this on Monday I will tell him to just pull it. Getting pretty tired of this, been going on for 2 weeks now.
Enough of the whine, Hope Nancy has a decent time on her trip, congrats to Judy on the job, Aime, hope you are feeling better too sis, Margo, a nights sleep is wonderous, Eileen, I understand the pain thing and feel yours (figuritivly speaking). I hope you all have a great weekend and enjoy as much as you can!

Morning all!
I'm up and at 'em and have the doors open for a while to air out the house.....it's in the low 60's this morning and feels pretty comfortable.
Margo, so glad to hear Michael got some much needed sleep....perhaps with his other meds, it's just going to take a few days for the Ambien to work. I am going to take the rest of the lovely cucumbers you brought me (I've eaten a couple already -- so crisp and good) and make a marinated cucumber salad.....it has a boiled dressing and I will sub Splenda for the sugar, otherwise it's just vinegar,
water and a pinch of salt. I'm also going to try a chocolate zucchini bread.....had to tweak the recipe quite a bit, as there were a lot of high calorie items in it, so it may not be fit to eat, but I'm gonna try.
Otherwise I have no plans for today.....last weekend was so busy, and this weekend - nothing. May go see Mama
Mia over at Three Rivers and my neighbor lady said she'd go with me.
My DS and DIL and their 9 charges made it home from their Nashville TN mission trip about 8 p.m. last nite. Dan said the kids are ready to go again next year. There were 94 other teens from all over the U.S. there and they all had a wonderful experience.
Time for some breakfast...
Debbie I so feel for you with the tooth pain....have you tried the "stuff" you rub on the gum?? I think it's called ambesol?
Have a blessed weekend all....
Hugs and prayers for all that need them,
Pat

Done! Your Ticker:
No this is a recipe that a former co-worker gave me but I had to "tweak" it a whole bunch to make it wt. loss friendly. I don't have the MMPC cookbook. Anyway the bread turned out really good and I don't think it's too high calorie. I only used 1/4 cup of oil and substituted applesauce for the rest, as well as splenda for the sugar and ww flour for part of the flour.

PS I'll see if I can get on fit day or one of the other sites and figure out the nutrition info.

Good morning Margo and ALL.
Is it too early to say "yay for Ambien?" You both need some sleep.
We had planned to go to an Italian Festival today. It has been thrundering and rainy all morning. Since it is held outside, we may have to change our plans.
14 year old grand Dylan, is spending a couple of days with us so we need to figure out something entertaining to do with him.
I need to get more groceries in the house with him here. Teenagers are a bottomless pit and need TONS more food than I keep on hand. Sugar free Jello and apples just whet his appetite.
Enjoy your day - I will

Morning Margo and all the rest of my friends!
Margo, I'm glad Michael got some rest last night, but that Ambien is nasty stuff IMHO. I took it for quite a while with no problems, then all of a sudden I started doing weird things, I mean things I won't even tell anyone about. Got off that stuff immediately. Now I take Restoril and have no trouble at all. Keep an eye out, darlin'.
Debbie, I do't think there is anything worse than tooth pain. I agree with Pat, call the dentist today, they might have an emergency plan.
Pat.....chocolate zucchini bread????? What enquiring minds want to know!
Annette, at 14 all you have to do is load up the trunk of the car, don't even bother bringing it in the house. He'll find it. It's like salmon running up stream.....
I'm so excited! I signed up for the Walk From Obesity yesterday and sent out 33 e-mails requesting donations from friends. I've already brought in $150!!! One former client and an old high school buddy both donated $25, and an old boyfriend (hehehe) $100!!!! Guess I better get the thank you notes ready, huh?
I spoke at two different Bariatric surgeons seminars yesterday about the Walk and put in a plug for our support groups. There were 15 in one meeting (new doc) and about 50 in the other. Looking out at them brings back so many emotions it was a little hard at one point. I told them how proud I was of their courage to take this first step.
Well, off to shower and get ready for a short day at work. Hope everyone has a happy one!
Love ya

Good Morning, All
Well I made it through the icebreaker last night. Had a glass of wine with dinner, just to help me relax a bit. I had already decided that I might have another glass or two throughout the evening, depending on how it was going. NOT an issue! We were a fairly small class, and mosat of us had gone to school together for most of the 13 years, and I recognized everyone, and most of them recognized me. And it was good. I switched to diet Pepsi (it was flat, so that was good), visited, laughed, and took pictures. I'm going to try to get the pics on a CD or DVD and make them available to those who want them, after the weekend. It'll be a nice project for "after the letdown", and I have a friend who will do them for almost cost, if I make him a few home-cooked meals. Now all I have to do is remember how to cook....
Carbonation causes walking farts, anyone ever notice that? Well, it did help me keep everything clenched nice and tight, so I looked nice and trim.....
This morning I'm headed out for the village-wide yard sales, then decorating the hall this afternoon, then the big doings tonight. Gonna be a busy day. I'm supposed to do a centerpiece arrangement with flowers from my garden, but it rained already today, so I'm hoping everything will be dry enough. They look a bit bedraggled at this point.
Gotta go spend some money. Everyone have a great weekend!
