What's New FRIDAY August 1,2008?
Good morning Sis!!! I'm so sorry youhave been having mouth pains. I may hae to have a root canal. I am scared of it because of all the horror stories I have heard.
I have spent the past 2 days in bed coughing and blowing my nose. This dust fiasco really knocked me for a loop. I am feeling almost human today. I still have some chest congestion, but I am feeling much much better.
I haven't been able to visit Norronda while I have been ill. I didn't want to take the chance of bringing any type of infection in to her. She is going through dialysis right now. They had actually scheduled it before the transplant came up. They wanted to clean her blood of any antibodies thaty could cause rejection.
LP has gained another 5 ounces. He is just growing and growing. I am hoping to see my eldest nephew and one of my neices today or tomorrow. Quinn and Savannah are the children of my eldest brother who passed away. I rarely get to see Quinn as he lives in California. He was my baby when he was born just before my 15th birthday. I lived with him and his mom for a summer when I was 16. I'll never forget him standing at the door when i left to return back to Maryland crying "Don't leave me Aunnie Aime!" That still makes my heart wrench to think about.. he is in his 30's now. LOL
I hope everyone has a great weekend!!!

Hi Deb and everyone:
I know all about root canals, although mine wasn't as bad as yours. I just had to wait to get it done. Went to the dentist, *****ferred me to the root canal specialist, who said he couldn't get me in for two weeks. And I was in some kind of pain! Couldn't eat anything but cream soup (and even that hurt). Then one Wednesday morning at 8, his scheduler calls me up and says, "We had a cancellation, can you come in now?" Yikes, I had worked the night before, they woke me up. I had to quickly shower, get dressed, drive to the office (it was Aberdeen, S.D., every place was within a half hour drive). So by 11 a.m., the procedure was done, they had me take four Advil and gave me a script for vicodin and sent me home. I was back at work that evening. Yes, I was in pain somewhat, but nothing as bad as I was before. The bad thing was, a few years after I got here, I had to have the same tooth pulled anyway and have a bridge. And a few years later, the bridge fell apart and had to have that redone (and I'm still paying that off ... the doc cut the fee in half because it failed so quickly). So that's my root canal horror story.
Well, I posted on the other "what's new" ... just wanted to check in with the rest of you. Candy, hope the reunion goes well. Aime, rest up, I think your body is trying to tell you something. Hope all is well with N eventually.
Oh, I think somebody might have put a bid on the condo next door ... I think I might have seen inspectors in and out of the building. Maybe I'll have a new neighbor? The condo has been on the market for nearly a year now ... almost had a buyer right away but the person pulled out the day before the closing.
Julia, I would love to have wood floors, especially with the kitties barfing on the carpet ... much easier cleaning wood floors than carpet ... and the fur would come up easier too. The condo next door was redone with hardwood floors and looks so nice. When I get money (ha! when will that be?) that's what I want to do.
Well, I guess that's all. I have coffee finally, finished my AchievOne ... finally got some cappucino flavor in ... that stuff is hard to get.
I have to go to the ortho doc today. He better do something about this knee or I'm going to find a new doc. I'm sick of this pain. I didn't have knee replacement to be in more pain than I was before the surgery. I could have left it alone and had less pain.
Have a good weekend.
