Hi Sweet Linda,

It's only one more "get up" and the end of the week!  I slept 7 1/2 hours last night.  Long time for me. Good news from the doctor's office yesterday that my protein level improved.  Food must be working for me so I will continue doing what I'm doing.

Morning-AchievOne (20 g protein)
B-Fage Greek Yogurt (17 g protein)
S-Gruyere Cheese (9 g protein)
L-Deli Turkey and tomato (10 g protein)
S-Protein shake (22 g protein)
D-??  Too early to decide that one!

Hugs,

Kathi

KathiKins,  Am so glad you are doing so well after your surgery.  Sleeping regular hours has been difficult for me.  I try to maintain an even activity level but it doesn't always work.  How much have you lost? and are you able to do regular exercises?  I still have difficulty with that one.  Keep up the wonderful work.   Millie

Kathi, I am so glad that things are starting to look up for you. I read on the morning thread that the protein went up even if it is still below normal and the 3 pounds are fantastic!!!!! You are doing great even though I suspect that at times you get a bit down! Just keep doing what you are doing since it is working!! Remember that slow growth is good growth. In this case slow loss is good loss. lol

Linda,

I had a good visit with Mom yesterday.  I took her a Mocha Cappucino Blast from Baskin Robbins (they must have 1000 calories each) and she loved it.  I told her funny stories about the dogs and we talked about books just like the "old" days.  The only off note was when she asked me how long she had lived at her assisted living facility.  I said, "Seven months," and she was shocked.  "I thought it was about a week," she said.

B:  1 packet weight control oatmeal w/ 2/3 c. skim milk, 1/2 banana, & 1 tsp PB2
S:  1/2 c. chocolate cottage cheese pudding w/ 1 tbl NSA cherry pie filling
L:  2 oz salmon w/ strawberry vinaigrette, 1/3 c. grapefruit & avocado salad
S:  1/2 c. LF cottage cheese w/ strawberries
D:  2 oz Vietnamese pork, 1/4 c. Asian cucumber salad
S:  1/2 c. raspberry frozen yogurt

Jean, I just wanted to pop in and let you know that I understand what you are going through with mom. My mom had Alzheimers and I would just take the good days and hold them close to my heart since they grew farther and farther apart. I am keeping you in my prayers for the strength and peace to get through the things that you need to get through. Love to you, Jean.

Brenda,

Thanks so much for your kind words.

This is one reason why I love OFF!  I get to be with folks who understand what I'm going through.
