This weekend is my 40th high school class reunion. I'm looking forward to presenting "the new me", but the thought of it being 40 years since high school is sort of bittersweet. I'm doing well, life is good, but I can't believe it's been 40 years! I think I'll have to just think about the fact that even though I graduated with all those old people, I'm only as old as I feel. So, I decided to be 20 again. Just hope I can act my age! That'll be a new experience !!!
Have a great weekend.
Candy
I'll just bet you can act 20, you certainly don't look like you used to, please post some pictures when the weekend is over, dying to see the new hair color, you know the one you said that is more like your natural color ;)
Enjoy all the compliments that are sure to come your way,
Hugs, Laureen

All this talk of High School reunions makes me wish I had one to go to. . . I went to 5 different ones and left in my senior year, decided I wanted to be married more than I wanted to finish school, so eventually got a GED and attended a business school, so no prom, no memories of high school that account for anything and well, no reunions :( Oh well, guess I'll have to live it through the eyes of others. . . It would be 35 years for me. . .
Have a fun time, I'll be looking forward to yours and Candy's stories. . .

They're having a combined reunion of several classes at my high school ... and combined with the boys' high school that is now closed. No big memories there either ... just of being teased and being an outsider of sorts. The girls I hung out with sort of have a reunion every summer, and I now feel like an outsider with them. I don't have memories of prom either because I was the ugly fat girl that no one asked out. I'm not feeling sorry for myself here ... that's just the truth.
Plus, the reunion is $90 ... I can't figure out what that includes ... a buffet ... open bar? A little too pricey for me, plus I'd have to drive into Chicago (the gas! if it's $4 a gal. could be an $80 trip round trip). In a way, I'd like to go to shove the new "me" in the faces of those who made fun of me when I was in high school. But on the other hand ... it's too expensive.
My 35th reunion is this Saturday and I am not going either. I saw that it was going to cost us $90 and I thought that I didn't want to see those people that much! I went to our 10th and I as I looked at eveyone I thought that it was so sad that they had to do nothing but drink all night and they talked about how succesful they were and I felt so sad for them. I thought that they had things they wanted but were they really happy? I didn't think so. I wanted to go and strut around and show all of them that now I am just the ugly woman of the class and not the ugly AND fat girl of the class.

OUCH on the tailbone problem. My mother did that and it was very painful. Took her "donut" with her everywhere she went so she could try to sit comfortably. Take care of yourself.
Good news from my doctor yesterday. My protein bounced back up! I guess eating more solid food helped as it went from only 10 to 15. That's still below the recommended stat of 20-40 but I'll take it. Even better......... drum roll please....... I lost 3 pounds! I like that even better after having been stalled for about a month. The doctor's office was happy enough I don't have to go back for two months. The veins in my arms are quite relieved we don't have to see the "vampire" any more this summer.
Cable company is coming today to swap out the DVR box. I want it working correctly before the new fall season starts on TV. Hope you all have a great Thursday. I'm determined to make some headway at work today. We'll see if I can!
Have a great Thursday.
Hugs,
Kathi
Yey! on the protein ... Solid food will make the protein levels go up because it stays in your body longer than liquid protein. And it taste better too! And Yey! on the 3 pounds down. If you can handle regular food, that's better for you (at least that's what my nutritionist says) because the liquid protein goes right through your pouch and doesn't keep you satisfied.
Keep up the good work.
