So what else can go wrong?

I feel like I have a dark cloud hanging over my head. Refrigerator repair cost me $125.80. It was a freezer fan. I know, it could have been worse ... I could have needed a whole new frig. And it only cost me one crab cake and a pound of ground sirloin that I have to cook and refreeze. But geez, that means I have no money left for the essentials -- gas, groceries, prescriptions. I already had to send in $300 to the condo association for my extra July fee and the extra August superfund fee. And this week's check is not a overtime check, so no extra money there. I'm contemplating calling mom for help, but I hate to do that. I'm 53 and I still have to ask mommy for money ... I shouldn't be doing this.

Just feel like I'm sinking again. Just feel like I'm never going to get out of this pit.

Sorry for whining. But I don't really have anyone else to cry to.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I think I make too much for food stamps ... it's just that I only get half a paycheck because of the bankruptcy. I kind of wished I hadn't bought the new shoes, but I really needed the new shoes and unfortunately, my new shoes don't come cheap.

I'm really glad you got a job, Judy. I know that's been bothering you.

Not much more I can tighten up. If it were any other week but the week I happen to have $300 in condo fees, it wouldn't be so bad ... but that only leaves me with $140 to $150 ... and $125 coming out of that leaves me with not enough because I can't save enough on what I get from the bankruptcy court. Next week it wouldn't have been so bad.

Thanks for the hug.

Eileen,

I am so sorry to hear you are having more bad times.

Go ahead and ask your Mom for some help. As a mother, I know I would much rather help my daughters, no matter their ages,  than knowing they needed help and didn't ask me for assistance. Make sense?

Special hugs

Eileen: Just when you were starting to see daylite.....sorry about the refrigerator/freezer but at least you didn't have a buy a new one.....that could have been really costly.

Annette is right......give your Mom a call and ask for some money....you can always pay her back when you have more funds.

Sending hugs,
Pat R.

Yeah, I called mom. She wasn't home, so I left a message and asked for help; she didn't call back before I left for work ... or maybe she didn't want to call back. I guess I'll know more tomorrow. Thanks for the kind words, Annette and Pat.

{{{{Eileen}}}}}  I hope a gentle hug will help.  Sorry about the rough times.

I hope your Mom is able to help you through this rough patch.  I know I would want to know if my sons were having trouble making ends meet, so I'm sure your Mom feels the same way.    Sending positive thoughts your way -- and hoping that everything starts looking up soon.

Hi Eileen,

Sorry to hear that you have a tough week ahead but I am glad they were able to fix the fridge and you don't have to worry about buying a new one.  That's something.

I agree.......  Moms are there for daughters when they need them.  I hope this works out for you.

Sending an extra hug,

Kathi

sending hugs!

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.
