Tuesday....what's new?

Up early this morning to get laundry done before it get too hot....supposed to be in the high 80's and "maybe" a shower later in the day. My laundry is in the garage so it
gets pretty hot out there especially when the dryer is on.

What a wonderful day we had yesterday. I went into work from 8 to 10, then rushed home to start preparing lunch. Everyone loved the zucchini lasagna (I will give the recipe on a separate post) and I also had fresh peaches and blue berries.....all pretty WLS friendly. It was great to finally meet Carla, Paulette, and Margo (and Michael) at last and we hugged and hugged. If I knew how I could get the group picture on.....I'll ask Jan or Marti if they can do it for me. We visited until a little after 4, then they all loaded up and went in opposite directions. Margo lives in
northern Ohio, Floyd, so I think she was taking the Ind. Toll Road back home. They came over on U.S. 20. Carla was heading for Muskegon, Mich. to visit a relative I think.

Looking forward to Oct. and the GTG at Frankenmuth....wish more ladies would come, it's going to be so much fun.

Well, time for a little breakfast and on to my busy day.

Hi Floyd, good to see you!  Sounds like you may be made an offer you can't turn down!  Good luck!  Enjoy your campout.  Will that be in tents, trailers, or cabins?  I had the pleasure of staying in my sis and BIL's 30 ft camping trailer in Disney World recently.  I hadn't been camping since we donated our tent to the Boy Scouts many, many years ago.  Oh wait, we have rented a fishing camp a couuple of times in Grand Isle, but that too ended quite a few years ago - around the time the kids left home.

I don't do tents....lol.  This is really roughing it for me, it's an air conditioned cabin.  Normally, my idea of camping is staying at the Holiday Inn.

Sounds like you had a great weekend.  Always good to visit with family.  It's really nice to see Amy and Floyd posting today. 

Nothing much new for me.  My son called and told me all about playing golf in Las Vegas over the weekend.  They played at 6 a.m. to avoid as much of the heat as they could.  Beautiful golf course layed out through desert canyons.  He was explaining there weren't really fairways -- desert and then the greens.  If you didn't make the green, you were in desert dirt.  Sounds like he had alot of fun anyway.

Busy at work still catching up from being off for six weeks.  Not sure I'll ever really catch up.  Time will tell for that, too.

Barb, we don't get the NG channel, but if we did we'd never get to be on time.  Maybe one of these days we'll get cable out where we live and will be able to have it. Or, better yet, we'll get a chance to build our dream house somewhere where it's available.  A girl can dream, right?

I had a pretty good day yesterday. Had a meeting at the hospital with the Walk Team. Of course there were 1/2 the people there that were supposed to be there, but good results just the same. We've gotten in $6,000 in sponsorships already and people are starting to sign up for the walk, too. This might just happen!

Last night while I was on the phone with a AR board friend, another call came in. It was a co-worker telling me the salon owner's father had been killed.  He was walking across the street to get the mail and apparently didn't see a motorcyclists coming. He died at the scene, no word on the person on the motorcycle. I'm sure that wasn't good either.  So, sadness at the salon, especially since the owner's nephew works with us too. Such a nice family, such a shame.

Aimee, so glad N is doing better and especially glad you're taking some time off. Floyd, how great to see your smiling face!  Have a great time camping and running. Isn't life great?

Susan, how sad about the salon owner's father.  I'll keep him and the family in my prayers.

Hi all, HOT HOT HOT here again today.  100% humidity by 5:30 AM.  Last night was the first night for my DIL's dogs to be here.  They are very good.  Sleep in kennels and are happy there.  At 3:30 AM, I heard Lilly shake her head and rattle her tags trying to get my attention, but I didn't rise to the occassion!!  It's funny to hear the beagle's jowls flap while they are on the scent of the neighborhood bunny who hops through our yard.  The only complaint I have with them is the Maltese likes to lay right under my chair, and it is very hard to get up out of my chair without stepping on him.

I am very lucky - I don't have to buy clothes, my daughter gives me hers that she is tired of.  When I get to goal, I'll buy, buy, buy!!!  Only problem with my daughter's clothes - she is a business woman and has lots of "nice" stuff, I'm more the shorts and t-shirt kinda gal!

I have to go out in this heat later and go to the PO and to get an RX refilled.  I wish the PO was open at 6 AM!!  I also have to fill up the gas tank - it is DOWN to $3.89 a gal.  Never thought I'd be happy to see that price.  My DH has his last 3 appts tomorrow to complete all the requirements for his surgery (cardiologist, NUT, and psych eval).  I am SOOOO happy I didn't have to do all that cr*p!

morning OFF family....

well its a nice cool morning so far here in ohio...love that!!! but...its gonna get hot as the day goes on they said and a chance for a tstorm late tonight also...yippeee had bandit out for our walk this mornng and the only wild life we saw were the bunnies...omg the bunnies are taking over it seems!!! wow sure is alot of them!!!

last night rick was sitting out on the picnic table and the doe with the twins came within 3 feet of him!!! he has a pear inhis hand and she wasn't sure if she should take it or not...lol

went looking for one of those contraptions that you put on and can carry the baby hands free while you shop etc...hard to find anyplace that carries them!!! thought maybe pennys would have it but no they didn't...so the search continues....

heard from my lawyer also late yesterday afternoon...seems gary wants alot of money from me...lmao like i have any??? so if his lawyer can't get him to agree on our proposal it looks like i will be going to michigan for trial next week!!!! i am sure its his daughter that is wanting this money not him!!! so have to wait and see what my lawyer finds out and gets back to me....if i have to go back i will have to leave a day early because court is at 9 am and its a 4 1/2 hour drive....will probably stay a couple days so mom and sister can see me again...my brothers they say i am an idiot for moving away...oh well what have they done for me when i needed them?? NOTHING!!!!!! so who cares what they think...

going with rick over to the trailer park after work and he has a side job to do for a lady that is in a wheel chair...she needs her grass cut and also wants him to stain her deck. so looks like i will be chatting with her while he does some work there. hope we can go to the storage unit while close by. he keeps telling me we will go but so far we haven't gotten there yet...sighs.

ricks buddy will be coming back home from florida this weekend and he has a CD being published and he will be doing live gig at the end of next month to start off his singing career...i haven't heard him sing yet but i did hear some of his "music" lol not my type of music at all...but maybe will be different after i see him sing live ya know...lol

aime good to see you back here posting letting us know whats happening...prayers still going out for N and also you had better slow down girl and take some time for yourself before you are sick!!!!

Morning all,
I am taking the morning off from the treadmill, don't have my DVD so will wait till it comes in the mail and walk tonight. I can't do the treadmill thing unless I have my DVD to watch.
Today is our aniversary. We will go out to dinner, and we exchange cards.  I am happy to say we are both still happy and feel blessed that we found each other. I truly had to "kiss" A LOT of toads before I found this gem. So, yay! I am a happy girl!
I am exploring the GTG idea...probably won't be able to go but thought I should at least look at it and see what I could figure out. Obstacles being money and work. Oh, and flying is something I have to have drugs from the doc to do...and those don't usually work too hot. Have been this way for years...not pleasant for me...but....really want to see you all.
I think it was Pat talking about cutting the petunias back, I did mine, all except the trailing ones as wasn't sure how to cut them back, so now just waiting to see if the ones I cut back bloom again.
Busy day at work today, really busy yesterday too. That's ok, makes the day go by much faster.
Oh, yeah, one more thing, went to an eye doc yesterday and he thinks he can fix my problem, he will consult with the eye specialist and I go to her next week. So, that is so good! I will be able to see well again if all goes well...will still have some "issues" with sight but it will be so much better that I can deal with whatever stays not perfect with my vision. Just being able to focus and not see double or feel so uncomfortable trying to see will be a huge deal. Doing my work on the computer, or on paper and doing my scrapbooking will be much better I am hoping.
