Running in full gear

Hey All,

We had the grands this weekend and I spent the entire weekend running after the 11 month old, who has just learned to run. Yeah!  The four-year-old has just learned to ride his bike so there was another running after a kid with a kid on my hip.  Oh my what was I thinking buying him two bikes--one for home and one for Nana's. LOL  Saturday, we took the kids to the drive through safari and while it isn't the best that I've ever seen, it was entertaining for the babies.  We did the walk through the petting park and it was about a mile long total.  The boys rode the camel and the girl rode the horse and the baby rode Nana. LOL.  Anyway, my point to this madness is, I was able to run and play and carry and tote and by the end of nine hours, yes nine hourse, we loaded up and came home and while the kids watched granddad sleep, Nana rushed around and made a light supper for everyone, gave baths, got kids in bed, and then did a load of clothes.  Geeze. pre wls, no way.  Love my life.

Judy,

It really is great.  I remember when my ten-year-old was a baby and I couldn't stand and hold him because of my big belly.  Plus, I could never sit in the floor or walk outside or run with him.  Now, he and I play ball. LOL  It is grand, this new life we have.  Glad you are having such a good time too.

Isn't it fun to have the ride that the grands love the most~The Nana ride. I just can't wait for that to happen but still no co-operation from Shawn and Carol. lol

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Oh the nana ride is the best.  Our Baby Girl walks over and gets as close to me as she can and then looks up, holds up her little arms and even before I sat her on my hip, she has those legs ready. The ten-year-old, who is as tall as I, still will sit on my lap every chance he gets. LOL

Yep, when I was pre-op, I didn't even think out all of the things that I could do, but I did think about the life enhancement with the grandkids.  My first thought was, I can sit in the floor and play with the boys. LOL

Annette your welcome.  I just hope that my shoulders hold out. LOL.  I think if I have the skin removed, some of the pain will subside.
