Monday Monday....what is your's like?
Morning to you Cheryl. I am going to check the scrapbooking pictures you posted. I have wanted to see some of it. I have thought of doing it because it sounds like fun but I am just not sure of it. lol I get myself into lots of things and then wonder why! But you seem to love it. I am beginning to think that it something you either like or you don't. Am I right?
Good Monday morning! We have been at 74% dew point and 100% humidity since 6 AM. It's gonna be a hot muggy week in NC!! Thank goodness for the gym. If I had to walk outside in this heat I would DIE!
My DIL and grandsons leave for 2 weeks in Oregon today. (Our son is on his 9 month desert vacation in Iraq). We will have their 3 dogs, be getting their mail and paper and turning the pool filter on and off every few days. They'll be here any minute with their perishables, and the dogs and kennels. I'll be feeding them before they go, so her kitchen will stay clean. I'm gonna miss them! I see them nearly every day.
I'm at a plateau, but I am used to them by now, and it doesn't bother me anymore (hardly). I know it will "break" soon and I'll drop down again. I just have to keep on keepin' on.
I totally understand the plateau you're on. I am losing so slowly now. It is really getting to me. I keep thinking that I have to improve on my PEW~my protein, exercise and water. Now just doing it.
Going to have a very busy day here at work. We're terribly shorthanded. One out having her neck lifted, and the other out on vacation. Why our business manager approved the vacation knowing one would be out for surgery is beyond me. Two others are too good to chip in and of course are never told they must. So it's me doing my work, helping in the front office and anywhere else I'm needed. One thing for sure, I've learned my lesson and won't let them run me ragged.
After George and I had breakfast at IHOP Sat. (which I'm still working on finishing) and a ran few errands, we went back home. He started on the bathroom remodeling and I took off, with his blessing, to see "Mama Mia". I enjoyed it, however was a little disappointed in Pierce Bronson and Meryl Streep's singing ability, other than that, it was a very cute, funny movie. I found it very fast moving and would like to see it again to catch anything I missed.
Sunday after church, we went to WalMart (we had just gone Sat. morning - geeze, WalMart gets half my paycheck!). Needed a new showerhead for the second bathroom, the one we're using while ours is being remodeled. Somehow spent $91.00 - yep, as usual, we found other things we should have picked up Sat. We always manage to forget to put something on our list. Back home, George cut the grass before the thunderstorms rolled in. I started doing laundry and cooking. Changed the sheets on both beds and got them remade. Cooked lean boneless pork ribs with lots of celery, onions, garlic, a splash of soy sauce, kind of Chinese style, braised radishes, put a roast in the slow cooker, cooked eggplant with tomatoes and seasonings and another batch with bacon bits. Also cooked ground round with taco seasoning and black beans. If we do nothing else this week, we'll eat! After the kitchen was all cleaned up, I decided to cook elbow macaroni so George could take some eggplant with tomatoes and macaroni for his lunch today.
George and GIII went to pick up a new dryer from Lowes that I had picked out Sat. Our old one works/worked fine but somehow clothes were getting hooked up on the drum and twisting and spinning until they were a jumbled mess with a scorch mark. For some reason that seldom happened when George did the laundry while I was gone. The first three load I did after returning were fine, but Fri. and again yesterday (before we got the new one installed) it happened again. I felt the $400.00 spent was well worth the safety of preventing a fire.
Our daughter, SIL, and Gabe are now official Louisiana residents! They moved Sat.
That's about all for me!

Hey Breanda,
I wish that I was coming to visit too. LOL.
Today, I am spending the day picking up from the weekend. The grands sure do make it impossible to keep a clean house. I am also doing some research and will probably finish that academic stuff I've started. Also, still doing class prep for next semester. Oh, and will go to the gym and walk. Going for four miles. It's easy but I get so damn bored. I think I'll take a book with me and read while I walk. I listen to my Ipod and that's helpful but my eyes need to be seeing things too.
Well, have fun today.
