Annette, I wish you were there last night too. That would have made a perfect time even more perfect~to have the whole OFF family all around me!

I bet that Annie put her up to it too. Poor Becky is the fall guy~or in this instance the fall girl. My kitty doesn't like catnip. But to let you know what my little Misty MaGoo looks like, Carla said that she looks like her Tevia.

Tevia is a handsome fellow. He and Annie make a good couple - both are furBRATS.

Aloha Annette, See, there's more fun for our kitty book!! My Poki is a catnip junkie! When I bring it home for her, she rolls in it, eats it, and spaces out big time! It's so funny to watch...she is just blissed out. Now, Nicki, on the other hand.....stands and stares at her like she's out of her gourd. He just doesn't get it...........catnip does nothing for him!!

Aloha nui loa,

Maui Karen

Hello Karen,

It is funny to watch their "catnip high". I have a planter of catnip on the deck. When I go out to pick some, there are 8 not so patient furbrats waiting for their treat.

Becky and Annie get aggressive about their share of the herb, and I have to put some in several spots or there is a hissing match.

Ooohhh, catnip ... my kitties love it! Nettie threw up on the scratching pad with the little ball around it, and I had to pull out the pad and all the old catnip came out ... the cats went crazy. So I decided I had to buy them some fresh stuff. They have been in nirvana since, even if it is store-bought stuff. They sit there on top of the plastic container and almost drool. It's so funny. I can just see your furbrats on a catnip high with the cookie sheet.

Eileen,
When the supply of fresh catnip runs out I buy the plastic tubs too. They puncture the containers with their teeth until it is similar to a talcum powder box... catnip all over the place.

Judy, I would love to see the deer at your house. I like to see different animals. We have a hummingbird come to our petunias every day. I have seen him for a while and then Saturday I saw him and asked Bill if he was a hummingbird and he looked and said yes. They are so little and their little wings just flutter. I was totally mystified as to how they get so much energy.

I am so glad that your new life is working out. Or at least most of it. I know that a job is there for you somewhere. I know that a job is there for you there but just bear patiently and it will come. God will direct you and point you in the direction and all you need to do it the footwork.

brenda the deer are so beautiful to look at!!! those huge eyes are so pretty....the way they prance away into the woods when they are afraid of me watching...the fawns are like little imps when they are out playing around mommy...lol on the way home from taking rick to work this morning i noticed a dead doe laying on side of road...i hope it isn't one of ours!! it was a couple miles from here but still it could be one of them...i hate the thought of deer season coming and one of them getting killed...i haven't seen the turkey lately but i am sure she is lingering around...unless the dog across the street got her...they let that dang dog run loose all the time!!! and it does chase after the turkey!! grrrrrrrr

oh yeah hummingbirds are so pretty!!! if you put on a bright colored hat or even top i am sure they will come right to you...one did to gary when he was out at the sportsmans club he used to be presidaent of...he said he was sitting on picnic table and all of a sudden this hummingbird was in his face!!! he had on a flourescent orange baseball hat on at the time...had to be cool ro see one up that close!!! lol i haven't seen any hummingbirds here yet but i have seen the yellow finches all over...maybe canaries?? not sure....probably finches.

yes the job is here for me its just the waiting for them to give me a call is all...i am running out of patience i guess....everyone is working here but me and i guess i am feeling sorry for myself...someday soon i will be back working again...i hope!!!

thanks for listening to me brenda....hope you can make it to the frankenmuth gtg!!!!  i am keeping my fingers crossed that i can go also!!!

hugs

Morning Brenda and all,

I am so envious of you all who got to meet! I have been fortunate enough to meet Karen C and that was just great! Maybe one of these days.

Had nice day yesterday, went to see my Bethie girl and then came home took a nap then painted a bird house that has been on the porch naked for over a year. I also posted a couple of my scrapbook pages on my profile just to give you an idea what I do when I tell you I'm going scrapbooking,

It's a Monday and I have a TON to do at work, and will have, till I go on vacation on the 20th. Part is that our quarterly MDSs( kinda like assessments) on many of our residents are due this month (there are always some due, but this next few weeks seems like more than usual) and I have to get some ready for when I am gone so the person who enters them in the computer doesn't have too much to do. Don't want anyone mad that I am gone and have left stuff for them to do. I can't really do some of them as you can't finish before certain dates on each but I can have some info ready for the person who has to do them while I'm gone. Sorry to ramble...I know it's probably not making sense, I don't explain things that great.

Tom's last day of his classes are Wednesday Yay! Until September, not sure when. So I will have my big red headed man back again for a while! He will be able to relax a bit and enjoy the summer! He is loving school but I know he will be happy for the break.

Well, off to the treadmill. Then to work. Bye to you all, and have a good day...You all seeing each other, give each other a hug from me!

Karen C...my porch the very end of August or beginning of Sept!

Cheryl
