What's New, Sunday Edition

Hi Eileen, I just asked Earl about the screws for the vent plate he said he would send some with me that should work, and I can get down on the floor and put them in for you.  Paulette

Ohhh - they always know how to find trouble!!!   

Especially Diva ... well, now the register is closed ... Paulette brought screws and tightened them up (the screws I got from Lowe's were too small so I took them back). Thanks, Paulette ... thank Earl for me too). Now I won't have to worry about Diva crawling into the ducts! Just one more space for her to get into ... yesterday I locked her into the bedroom closet when I was getting out the aerobed. She figured out a way out, though ... she's pretty smart.

I'm back!!!

Got up late for me, about 8:30,  checked email, had coffee, and headed outside.  I've been weeding ever since.  I do seem to take longer and more frequent breaks than I used to, but I plod along till the job gets done.  Once I get started, that is...  I don't remember the weeds being so bad last year, but then it didn't rain every night last year.  I've only had to water twice since April.  Last year it was at least twice a week all summer. 

This week is going to be a busy one.  My class reunion (40th!) is next Saturday night, and we have a lot of last minute things to do.  Two reunion meetings this week, working a double on Tuesday, hair and facial waxing  (maybe even a pedicure!) on Wednesday, as well as cleaning the house for weekend company.  Airport run on Friday, Friday night ice-breaker, decorating the hall Saturday, reunion Saturday night, and probably a picnic Sunday.  Back to work on Monday.

Forget the weeds....I'm going back to bed!!!!

Good Morning Candy and Everyone......

I am still in Iowa. Things are going well. I am having a great time with my daughter, SIL , Nic, Grace, and Amanda. We are all going swimming today.

Jamie had a garge sale yesterday...she made over 500 dollars in 5 hours. People were mobbing us the whole time....it was wild. People watch for her sales. They are always great.

I am glad everyone here seems to be doing well. I have kept you all in my thoughts and prayers.

I don't think I will be back before Tuesday. I am having problems with my car door. My SIL has to go get a part for it tomorrow and he won't be able to fix it until tomorrow evening.
It  will be too late to drive home after that so Amanda and I will spend another night. Oh darn...such torture!!

I haven't had much time to post but I do check in when I can!
