Good Sunday morning, Candy and my other lovlies! I hope that today is everything that you hope it is and even more. You all deserve every bit of it!

Today is a bright sunny and hot day. I love to look out on days that are full of the sunshine. I am looking at Bill's little patio garden and all the flowers and plants. His stargazer lilies are blooming. They have such a beautiful pink and cream flower on it. There is 3 flowers and 4 more blooms to go. The lilies that was planted near the back looks more like glads to me than lilies. But then again what the heck do I know? Everytime I look at them they look more like glads to me. The other flower blulbs that was planted isn't doing as well. I am not usre what is going on there but what are you going to do? I can't make them grow. lol The strawberry plant isn't going to be a strawberry bearing plant this year. lol I told Bill that they will probably be growing next year. I sure hope so I love strawberries. But something seems to tell me that we aren't going to get a lot of berries on 1 plant. lol My petunias are still shabby looking. I think Pat R. told me that they need to pinched back but I don't know how to do that. Any ideas for someone who needs easy directions? lol Our big hostas is full of lovely lavendar flowers on it. It is a hugh hostas too. It is one of those veragated ones. I would like to get another one but there just isn't any room out there for anything else. My bleeding heart, the one thing that I really wanted to grow isn't growing at all. Nothing is happening there. I wanted that one to grow so bad since it brings me back to my childhood. Both my mom and grandma had bleeding heart plants. I always thought that they were so pretty.

We got a lot of things accomplished yesterday. We got both of the closets cleaned out yesterday in the bedroom. We got a couple packages of those hanger things for closets. I don't know what they are called but they are the things that you hang on the wall and they each hold about 10 hangers with clothes on them and they you hang them down. They are really nice. They take a lot of the closet and gives a lot more room. We each have 2 of them in our closets and boy do they open them up. I wished I had them earlier. lol Bill's closet is a bit smaller but you can walk in there now. You couldn't before since he had so many clothes in there. Clothes and crap!! He got rid of a lot of clothes and did good with the crap too. I am proud of him. My closet is a lot bigger and I can walk in and do things~but then again what do you want to do in a closet? haha I got 2 shoe racks at a rummage sale a couple of weeks ago and we have now put them to good use. We each have one and mine is full. Top and bottom. Bill hates that I have more shoes. He thinks you only need a couple of pairs. Such a man!! Today Bill is going to hit the storage closet in the hall and I am going to go through boxes in the bedroom. I feel like I got to get them out!! I am so tired of looking at them when I open a closet door. By the time we finish those chores today it is going to be time to call it a day. Things are getting done and that is the important thing. I can't accomplish miracles in one or two days. It is going to take a while to get rid of all the crappola that we have! I am going to need the dumpster out back just for myself! Well~maybe it isn't that bad but there is to much stuff in here I know that!

Bill cooked out last night. We had hamburger patties with provolone cheese and grilled and seasoned onions on them. They were so good. There is 2 more in the fridge and so that might be lunch for us. I made some summer veggies with some seasonings and olive oil and they were so good. Bill like it when I make those. Tonight he is going to grill out a couple of steaks and I am going to make some kind of veggie but not sure what. I haven't really looked to see what I have in there. I am working on getting the carbs out of our diet. Neither one of us needs them. I know that Bill should have some since he is working so hard and so I mostly fix him some every once in a while. He isn't to much into them all the time. He does have some that he likes to have on occaision. Ella is suppose to get me some whole wheat couscous down in Indianapolis but I hope she remembers. I can't find it here and she said that it is down there for a couple of bucks a box. Around here we have no nice groceries that carry things like that. I told her to get a box when she gets hers and I only hope she remembers. Oh well, if not there is other trips down to Indy. lol

I guess I had better get going. I am sending my love and some pretty big old hugs to all. Prayers are being said during the day for everyone and special ones are said through the day for those in need of them. Have a wonderful day today and make sure to take a bit of time to enjoy what the good Lord have given us.

Brenda, just take your kitchen shears or a pair of clippers or pruning shears and cut the petunias back to
around 6 - 8 inches from the dirt. They will look like
"Heck" for a while, but they will come back. Also they need to be watered EVERY DAY!

hope this helps....
Pat

Judy, I know what you are talking about when you talked about getting scared. I hate that. I sometimes get so scared that I cry too and I hate that. I sometimes think that it shows my weakness and I don't like that either. I am glad that Rick knows now and he won't do that again. Sometimes you get so scared that you just want to pee your pants. lol

I am so glad that things are going well for you in Ohio. I know that you will soon have your job and you and Rick will be starting your own life together.

Love and hugs to you, big sister, and many prayers are going up for you too.

Hey, Louise, it's Thelma!!

Good morning Everyone.

Candy, glad to see so many posts following yours....:)

Not a lot of drama going on here.

Still working long hours (my choice).

Sebatious Dermatitis causing the head itch.

Donut-size yeast spot under my panni.

Valtrex for the shingles in my head..... and let me tell you.....that stuff is $268 a presecription.... so if you need it for 'other' reasons, you'd sure have to want something pretty bad to pay those kinds of bucks.....:)

Let's not talk about that I've gone from 154 to 163....

Nothing on the promotion.... and glad for it..... I think I'll lose money....

Okay, I can see it's already starting to be a three Prozac day...:)

Those are my rants.....

BUT.... went with my kids yesterday to Granbury.....they were going to visit DIL's father... and I have a friend I've not had a chance to visit with in 3 years except at her hubby's funeral a year and a half ago.... she's retired...lives in a really cute duplex in a retirement area.... I met all of her neighbors.... OLD.....OLD neighbors.... she's younger than I am... I was soooooo glad I still would look at a ponytail and a Harley!!  Spare me!!

Son and sister came over last night and played games.

This morning I got up hungry (I've been revounous lately) and nuked an egg and went back to bed.  Now I'm up for good (No $4 today), and hungry again...but resisting and think I'll make a protein drink.... will be going to Central Market so will graze on the goodies they give away... a bite of canteloupe, a bite of steak, a shrimp, etc.... not much else.

Sprouts (an organic market) is on the list for Sundays.  I get fruit and veggies there and lamb.

William Sonoma at noon..... just to get the new recipes... I don't know why I bother... but I love to read them... may be why I'm fighting 10 lbs.

Gotta pay the yard guy.  I pay him when the bill gets to $100.   He lets me know by not showing up and I see the grass is growing...:)  But that was the deal... so over to his house today with a $100 bill.....

I guess this is the most drama I can drudge up.  Sorry it's not more interesting.

Good Morning friends,

I am just puttering around getting things together for my road trip with Carla later today. I am so excited! I tried to register for the Mpls OH Event, next Sauturday, online but didn't have any sucess so I popped off an email to them. Earl & I are planning a weekend of it, if I can still get a ticket, taking my mom too since her sister lives near there. I've never been to an OH event so I think it would be great looks like lots of info will be available.

I'll get to meet Brenda tonight and then later Eileen, then tomorrow Pat R. & Margo.  I can't wait !!,  Hope I'm not a pest but I have so many more questions to ask them about wls.  I have been getting lots of negative comments and pointing out all the risks from a friend of mine about wanting to have wls.  So now I am having doubts. She thinks that I am not a candidate anymore either since I have lost 42 pounds. (17 since my consult in mid May) She has worked in insurance for 30+ years. In her favor she has lost 80 pounds in 2 years by diet alone, she feels I can do it that way too.

Oh well, I don;t want to dwell on that now. I try to be upbeat and positive.  Hugs, Paulette

Paulette, I am so excited about meeting you and Carla too. I just can't wait. I got my batteries for the camera charging and get ready to smile! I never thought about taking the camera when I met Eileen but the next time it is coming and she better smile pretty too. I love to meet everyone. I am getting to meet Pat R. in a couple of weeks and brother Floyd and Brenda. I am becoming such a social butterfly! I just can't believe the change in me. I am so much more sure of myself! See you in a while, sister, and make sure you are prepared for a big old hug!!! I do so love hugs. People tell me that I give good ones. Let me know what you think.

Hi Candy and everyone:

A weird night last night. I was getting ready to go to bed ... kinda early actually because my tummy was bothering me, and even the peppermint tea wasn't helping a whole lot so I thought laying on my side might help relieve some gas. Anyway, I walked into the hallway to turn on the light and the vent was open ... completely down and off the wall. Diva was sitting there looking through it like she might crawl through it. Just what I need, yelling through the vent for the cat come back (and not a place I could go and retrieve the cat!) Annette, you could appreciate this story! Somehow, when the person who lived here before me painted the place, she left off the screws to the cold air vents and just placed them back on the wall ... they stayed there for six years until last night when one fell off. Now I have to go to Lowe's to see if I can buy some screws (don't know what size) and put them back on. Which means kneeling on floor, not comfortable for me on my right knee. Last night, I taped it back on with masking tape and put the cat condo against it so the cat couldn't pull it off (because I knew Diva would try).

Plus, for some reason my icemaker isn't working again (it seems to do this on weekends only) and I like my water really cold). So I have to get ice/ice cube trays. Wasn't planning on going out, but I guess I don't have a choice today.

So just a quick check on the board and then I'm going to get dressed and run out to Lowes. Then I have laundry to do, moving things around in the computer room/front bedroom to fit the aerobed in for Paulette. I want to do some baking today too. I want to have somewhat of a relaxing day too, because I'm kinda tired. But we'll see. And then, of course, there's baseball. White Sox won again last night ... big series. They've toughed it out against the Tigers. Hasn't been easy.

Well, I should get going. Have a good day.
